WEEK OF MARCH 26, 2018

This week is a short week. Wednesday is an
early dismissal day with no after school care.
Dismissal will be at 1:00.

MATH ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS

This week we will add working with
fractions and geometry to the topics
that we will be working besides our
usual multiplication and division. Students will be
able to have some fun with tangrams and finish up
their cases as place value detectives. We will also
begin practicing the rest of the times tables from the
6’s to the 12’s. There will be a quiz on the 6’s on
Tuesday. They have the use of wrap arounds to help
them memorize their times tables. Please work with
them at home. Please continue to practice their basic
addition and subtraction facts with them. They will
need to have a good grasp of them in the future. Tu-
toring for math is from 3:30-4:30 on Mondays.
This week there will be no
Dictation or Spelling Test. In
Language, we will continue
working on verbs and their
tenses as well as subjects and
predicates. Students my correct or work on any un-
finished assignments for language arts. We will
complete the presentation of President Probe books.
Tutoring for reading begins on Tuesdays from 3:30-
4:30.

HANDWRITING
Students will practice cursive Vv as well as copying paragraphs and poems for
further practice.
 SCIENCE-Students will observe and describe physical changes. They will
also complete their booklet on chemical and physical change and take
an assessment on its contents.
RELIGION-This week students will complete the chapter on being called
to holiness. This week’s Word of the Week is shroud-a length of cloth
in which a dead person is wrapped for burial. This Week’s Good News
comes from SEQUENCE VICTIMAE PASCHALI LAUDES.
SOCIAL STUDIES-This week students will learn about who immigrants
are, where they came from and how we should treat them according to
our faith. They will also learn about migration in the United States.

REMINDERS
Parents, please remember to use the crosswalk when walking your children across Arizona for safety’s
sake.
We are still collecting pop tops for Ronald McDonald House. We have filled five large collection boxes and
have nearly filled a sixth one! Help us out by sending in pop tops (soda tabs)! We could win a class party!
Thank you to all who have sent in tops! We are doing an awesome job!
We are also collecting box tops and Prices’ bottle caps. Help us out by sending these items in whenever you
buy products with the box top label or Prices’ products!
Please send in any prayer intentions that you may have so that we can pray for them during our morning an-
nouncements and during our Friday rosary. Don’t forget to send your children with their rosary on Fridays!
