12 March 1926
Mr. Odd Gleditsch founded the company in Sandefjord –
Norway, being one of the most important harbours for the
fishing industry.
1962
International activities were introduced with the first
production plant outside Norway, in Libya.
1968
First factory in Asia, in Thailand.
Presently
More than 45 factories worldwide.
Factory in the USA started production recently; construction of the
factory in Russia soon to finish.

Keep the plant going…
Simply said Life Cycle Cost is the sum of the cost of the painting
job divided by the lifetime of the structure (years)
Result is the better the process at the beginning the less maintenance
Thus average cost per year is reduced with better practices
Coatings hugely impact asset performance and LCC, while accounting for a fraction of
costs.

PERFORMANCE COATINGS
Live-line Maintenance
Follow the rules of the plant; safety comes first and common
sense backs up all rules
SPEED is critical
• Water Blasting
– Cleans and prepares and
feathers edges
– Creates a lot of water
• Contamination
• Drying
• Grit Blasting
– Fast
– Creates dust
– Best Profile and performance
• Hand Tool preparation
– Slow but can be done with
other trades
• Thickness is critical
– Too low and holidays are more prevelent
– Touch up all low areas and holidays
Jotamastic SF
Solvent Free Epoxy Mastic
• Reduces Time For Preparation & in to Service
– Surface Tolerent
– Moisture Tolerent
– Early immersion capable
Penetration
• Superior adhesion
- Superior wetting
