Buenaobra’s workshop employs concerning three hundred individuals throughout the

summer months, production volume considerably will increase and also the company
has to rent concerning forty new workers to handle the significant employment. Most of
these new employees are college and high school student who are on summer
vacation.

The company oftentimes hires employees who are college and high school student who
are on summer vacation to handle the heavy workload when the production volume
significantly increases. b. Though this is often continual, the corporate still doesn’t have
a system for orientation and on-the-job training coaching for freshly employed staff
creating the corporate expertise a rash of injuries to its staff. III. Objectives 1. To help
the president to have the system for orientation and on the job coaching for the newly
hired employee. 2. To come up with a properly planned and systematic training program
for company.

Strengths

The company has had glorious expertise with the scholars over the years.

Many of the success are often attributed to the older employees coming back to the
help of the new staff once hard times arise.

Weaknesses

o All newly hired employees receive no orientation. o

The company’s training for new employees are completed within 5 to 10 minutes only

Opportunities

The previous staffs have good skills as an assurance aspect. o

Old employees can help the fresh employed staff in coaching and orientation.

Threats

The company may bring more injuries to their employees that may get, out of control.

o If the company will not come up with a proper plan training program for the new hired
employees then that may cost them more

Table 1 shows the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats for Buenaobra’s
Machine Shop. The company still doesn’t have a system for orientation and on-the-job
coaching for recently employed workers although they're oftentimes hiring high school
and faculty students on vacation throughout peak seasons inflicting rash of injuries to its
workers because of lack of orientation
Relationship between the old and the new employees should be strengthens and
promotes cooperation, communication and collaboration. But on the other hand, there
are going to be an inclination for the supervisor to assign the incorrect coaching buddy
who is not fit for that specific field and who will excel better in another field assigned to
another old employee. But on the other hand, there will be a tendency for the supervisor
to assign the wrong training buddy who is not fit for that specific field and who will excel
better in another field assigned to another old employee.
