WRITTEN TEST 1

From my point of view, the fundamental concerns that I got from all countries that is
Malaysia, Singapore, Pakistan, United Kingdom, United States of America there are several
thing commons use in this Code of Conduct helps ensure compliance with standards of our
professional engineer and legal requirements. All employees shall respect and follow to the
code.
HONESTY AND INTEGRITY

Engineers shall not complete, sign, or seal plans or specifications that are not in conformity
with applicable engineering standards. If the client or employer insists on such unprofessional
conduct, they shall notify the proper authorities and withdraw from further service on the
project.
HEALTH AND SAFETY WELFARE

Professional engineers are frequently faced with engineering ethical situations that impact the
public health, safety, and welfare. These situations can manifest themselves in a variety of ways
between the professional engineer and the public, client, employer, other professionals, and
other third parties. While each situation is different, the one constant in those situations is the
clear and unambiguous responsibility and obligation on the part of the professional engineer to
hold paramount the public health, safety, and welfare.
PROTECTING COMPANY ASSESTS

Every engineer must have a responsibility in taking care of company assets. It is importance to
protect from leakage for example trade secret, client information, employee privacy. It is
because a protected company asset will make it much more trustworthy and reliable for
customer to deal with.
RESPONSIBILITY

A member shall accept personal responsibility for all work done by him or under his
supervision or direction, and shall take all reasonable steps to ensure that persons working
under his authority are competent to carry out the tasks assigned to them and that they accept
personal responsibility for work done under the authority delegated to them.

In my conclusion, the Code of Professional Conduct describes the ethics in regulation

for an engineer. An ethical engineer must reach a certain level of credibility and be honest in
every situation. In addition, engineers must also be responsible for the trust given to employers
as well as be professional in a variety of conflict situations.
