LITAFLEX uPVC Conduit Pipes and uPVC Conduit Fittings are produced from a specially formulated
compound, Polyvinyl Chloride. They are manufactured to comply with the British Standard BS EN 50086-2-1:
1996 and BS 4607 Part 5 respectively.
LITAFLEX uPVC Conduit Pipes are widely used for surface installation, and also particularly for wiring system
buried in concrete slab.
It is easy to cut and push fit to accessories. No treading and special tools
Time Saving Installation - are required to cut and joint. The conduit cuts easily with a sharp
handsaw or PVC cutter and is securely joined by solvent cement.
Cold bending - Form a 90° angle with just the aid of a bending spring.
Corrosion resistant - Rigid, non-conducting PVC conduit is immune to almost all types of

The unique design of corrugated construction provides and offers considerable flexibility for laying long runs of cables buried under the concrete without excessive joints.
It is extremely suitable for surface installation, especially running cables from concrete ceiling down to false ceiling, generally for lighting fixtures.
In today’s worldwide advance telecommunication industries, LITAFLEX Corrugated Flexible can be extended with a Pre-installed pulling tape made of Nylon meant for
the drawing of Cables. It is widely used as a Sub-Duct for the protection of Optical-fiber Cable.

Test Specification for Conduit Systems made of insulating material
Properties/Tests Test Methods Passing Criteria
Marking and Documentation Clause 7.1 of BS EN 50086-2-1:1996 The conduit shall be marked on
the product with:
a) the name of the
manufacturer
b) a product identification mark
Mechanical Properties – Compression Clause 10.2 of BS EN 50086-2-1:1996 After the test, the specimens
test shall show no cracks visible to
normal or corrected vision
without additional
magnification.
Mechanical Properties – Impact test Clause 10.3 of BS EN 50086-2-1:1996 After the test, at least in 9 of
the samples there shall be no
sign of disintegration, nor shall
there be any crack visible to
normal or corrected vision
without magnification & there
shall be no deformation
impairing its normal use.
Mechanical Properties – Bending test Clause 10.4 of BS EN 50086-2-1:1996 After the test, the samples shall
show no cracks visible to
normal or corrected vision
without magnification & it shall
be possible to pass the
appropriate gauge through the
sample under its own weight
and without any initial speed.
Electrical Properties – Electrical Clause 11.6.1 of BS EN 50086-2-1:1996 Insulation resistance > 100 M
insulating strength and resistance ohm
(conduits)
Thermal Properties – Resistance to Clause 12.1 of BS EN 50086-2-1:1996 The sample is not ignited by
flame propagation the test flame
Thermal Properties – Resistance to Clause 12.1 of BS EN 50086-2-1:1996 If the sample burns it shall be
flame propagation deemed to have failed the test
if the combustion is still in
progress 30 s after removal of
the flame
Thermal Properties – Resistance to Clause 12.1 of BS EN 50086-2-1:1996 If the tissue paper ignites the
flame propagation sample shall be deemed to
have failed the test
