Like what I have said before, I already had experience in doing some printed
information sheets for the promotion of health and prevention of diseases since I
was a nursing student. I expected that I could convey an essential information that
will change the mind of every teenagers and moms with unplanned or unwanted
pregnancy though my digital poster.

Things “I learned” during the fieldwork:

A poster is one of the effective and creative way to convey a health message that can be used to promote health. The target
audience of this artwork are teenagers and moms with unwanted or unplanned pregnancy. Abortion is widespread in our country even
though it is illegal under all circumstances, and is highly stigmatized. It is the main topic of the poster that I have made. I learned that I
should put pictures that are related to each other and will show a cause and effect scenario in which they will know what will be the
consequences of their actions. As you can see in the lower part, these are the ways to prevent abortion, such as sex education on the
right side and the left side is the use of effective contraception. And on the upper part is a mother was thinking for an abortion. I have
shown the consequence of her decision. If she will choose the wrong path or to take an abortion, she may be at risk not just physically but
emotionally and psychologically. She may have bleeding, organ damage, infection, depression, guilt, nightmares, regret, etc. On the other
hand, if she will choose the right path or keep the baby, her child will grow accordingly, and they might have a happy and successful
family.

unplanned pregnancies commonly to teenage. Teenage
pregnancy is one of the major problems here in our country. As a
teenager, I have noticed that our generation take abortion just to
escape or a solution to their problem. This affects me like there is
no humanity left in this world. Why would they do that thing if they
cannot stand it until the end? They should first have made ways to
prevent pregnancy so, in the end, they will not just terminate an
innocent life of a child.
