SPIRITUAL HUNGER

Psalm 42:1-2 (NIV)


As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?

What does SPIRITUAL HUNGER mean?


- it means that you make a beeline for your prayer closet, Bible and private sanctuary because you
know God awaits.

- Just as your stomach gnaws and growls for food, your spirit longs for God.

ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS TO DETERMINE WETHER YOU’RE SPIRITUALLY SATISFIED.

He knows your spirit is parched and starved and your spiritual hunger and thirst level is the danger
zone.

HERE ARE A FEW WAYS TO DIAGNOSE YOUR SPIRIT TO SEE IF IT’S HUNGRY
1. Holiness is never in your mind.

for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.

2. Other things take precedence over your relationship with God.


3. You aren’t hungry. Your spiritual tank is empty but you don’t see any reason to refill it.
4. You’re full of yourself and trust your own abilities.
5. Weariness and fatigue overtake you.
6. It seems like there’s an open pit or void distancing you from God. You maybe depressed, restless
and anxious about life.
7. Serving others is way down on your priority list.
8. Forgetting how it feels to seek God is a common sign that you’ve list your spiritual hunger for Him.

HOW TO SATISFY SPIRITUAL HUNGER?


Matthew 5:6 (NIV)
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

1. Jesus provide an answer on how to satisfy spiritual hunger.


2. Find God’s purpose for you.
3. Get in the word and stay there.
4. Keep an eye on boredom.
- Boredom is God’s invitation to do
Isaiah 55:1 (NIV)
“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.

Sinabi ng Panginoon, “Lumapit kayo, lahat kayong nauuhaw, narito ang tubig! Kahit wala kayong pera,
lumapit kayo at kumain! Halikayo, kumuha kayo ng inumin at gatas ng walang bayad!

5. By all means, sidestep unhealthy cravings.


6. Without delay, respond quickly to silent urging by the Holy Spirit.

believes in me will never be thirsty.

sumasampalataya sa akin ay hindi na magugutom o mauuhaw kailanman.

Given these points, your trajectory in life changes when you satisfy spiritual hunger. By staying full of
Him, you have a spiritual reservoir that’s is never empty. His life inside you overflows to everyone you
meet.
