HIGHLIGHTS

● Silanga NHS and the Sangguniang Kabataang Barangay initiated an advocacy campaign to shed light,
inform and educate learners, families in the community about this coronavirus, its symptoms,and how does
it affect and infect people in different ways and of course how to prevent the said virus.

RESULTS/OUTPUT

● The students, families and people of Barangay Silanga were thoroughly informed of this corovirus
disease.

As agreed through a Memorandum of Agreement signed by both parties, Silanga ES and LGU-Barangay, the school initiated
the conduct of cleanliness drive commonly termed as Pintakasi. Among the activities conducted were cleaning of school
grounds, trimming of plants, removing unnecessary and unwanted grasses, and the like. This month's Pintakasi was
conducted with strict compliance to the IATF health standards like wearing of facemasks and maintaining social distancing.

RESULTS/OUTPUT

With the Bayanihan spirit shown between the school and the community, cleanliness was maintained. This made the school
conducive for learning, and child-friendly. With the camaraderie of the stakeholders, partnership-building was strengthened.

HIGHLIGHTS
The Samar Provincial Library in coordination with the Samar Provincial Government and AKK limited support the Department
of Education in its implementation of the distance learning through an outreach program entitled Samar Provincial
Library Supports DepEd Distance Learning". This program helps DepEd in ensuring that no child will be left behind,
amidst this health crisis that everyone is experiencing. Silanga Elementary School is one of the lucky schools to be chosen
as one of the recipients of the outreach program. Initially, the school received bond papers, and inks, which will be used in
the printing of modules and other self-learning materials. During the meeting with the personnel from the Samar Provincial
Library, it was agreed that learners from Catbalogan VIII District will be provided with school supplies, through the said
outreach program.
RESULTS/OUTPUT

Bond papers, and inks were provided to the school to be used in the printing of modules and self-learning materials. These
donations were documented through the Deed of Donations and acceptance signed by both parties.

innovation is the assignment of teachers who will monitor the learners through different communication platforms
depending on the context of the learners and the community. Silanga Elementary School had coordinated with the Silanga
National High School, in assigning teacher-monitors. There were 20 secondary school teachers who were assigned to
teacher-monitors of the learners in the elementary as agreed through the signed Memorandum of Agreement.

RESULTS/OUTPUT

As agreed through a Memorandum of Agrreement, 20 secondary school teachers served as teacher-monitors of the learners

ACTIVITY
Every YES is a Milestone Project(YES stands for Yielding Educational Support) is a
school-initiated project which gives highlight to the recruitment of volunteer-tutors
in response to the division's banner EduKatbalogan BAYANIHANDS. These recruited
Description volunteers are licensed professional teachers who give free tutorial services to the
struggling learners who, at the same time, don't have capable home learning
facilitators. The project aims to:
a. establish partnership with the stakeholders, preferrably Education students,or
Education graduates, in providing free tutorial services to the struggling learners;
Objectives b. address issues on literacy and numeracy; and
c. improve achievement rate.

HIGHLIGHTS
Every YES is a Milestone Project(YES stands for Yielding Educational Support) is one of the highlights of the
School Banner Project KISLAP. This project aims to establish partnership with stakeholders, particularly Education
students/Education graduates, in providing voluntary tutorial services to the identified learners in Silanga Elementary School
to help improve their performance. As of today, there are 10 recruited volunteers via Google form initiated by the school
head. Each volunteer is assigned to a particular grade level, with a particular group of identified learners. These volunteers
provide interventions to the identified learners, and at the same time monitor them as far as MDL, RBI, and TBI are
concerned.

RESULTS/OUTPUT

With the strong support system that the school holds, 10 volunteers were recruited. These volunteers are licensed
professional teachers. 66 learners benefited from the project implementation.

This activity was conducted in preparation for the opening of classes in the new

HIGHLIGHTS
With the implementation of EduKatbalogan BAYANIHANDS in ensuring the delivery of quality basic education
responsive to the COVID '19 pandemic,with its ideals in promoting the value of Bayanihan, Silanga Elementary School
establishes partnership with Silanga National High School, particularly on the monitoring of learners within the barangay.
Considering the limited number of teachers in the elementary and the restrictions set by the IATF on the mobility of
teachers, the elementary school requested some teachers in the secondary school to serve as teacher-monitors of the
learners in the elementary. These teacher-monitors will be assigned in a specific area in the barangay, where they will
visiting during the weekly scheduled listening time for RBI and viewing times for TBI. They will ensure that the learners are
actually holding their modules during the listening and viewing times. They shall also receive and answer queries and/or
clarifications, if any. The meeting also highlighted the signing of Memorandum of Agreement by both schools.
RESULTS/OUTPUT

A Memorandum of Agreement on the assignment of secondary school teachers as teacher-monitors in the elementary
was signed by both parties, in response to the implementation of EduKatbalogan BAYANIHANDS Learning Delivery
Processes.

This activity is aligned with the school's learning continuity plan which is to establish

a. establish partnership with the Sangguniang Kabataan in the implementation of
EduKatbalogan BAYANIHANDS;

b.assist the school in accomodating learners in the implementation of Oplan Balik-


Objectives Eskwela; and
c. assist the school in the recruitment of volunteer-tutors to serve the learners in
Silanga Elementary School

HIGHLIGHTS

One of the KRAs under the School Learning Continuity Plan is building connection. This KRA aims to establish partnership
with the different stakeholders in the implementation of the different learning delivery modalities responsive to the health
situation. Relative to this, Silanga Elementary School established partnership with the Sangguniang Kabataan(SK) of
Barangay Silanga. The SK faciliitated the recruitment of volunteer-tutors to provide voluntary tutorial sessions,
establishment of barangay mentoring hub which will serve as a venue for tutorial, and establishing SK hotline numbers to
respond to learners' school-related queries and clarifications.

RESULTS/OUTPUT
