In this unit, you will be exploring how to develop your website for employability and progression answering
the critical questions: How can you reach that important person or organization and, are you selling the best
version of yourself? This project will provide you with the opportunity to learn how to use a website to build
a network, showcase your talent, attract progression opportunities and work smarter not harder.

1st March-Week 1 Create Your Website, SWOT Analysis and SMART Targets
 Week ONE is about creating your website, making decisions and developing the skills to be effective
at selling yourself to a potential employer, audition director or performance
company.

2nd March - Week TWO – Sweeping Your Website Part 2 Problem-Solving

 Gather the information from week 1 analysis and start breaking it down into bullet points
thinking about what you feel you can do to improve your site to connect with a potential
employer or successfully progress.
 Conduct RESEARCH on your chosen areas for Improvement-See back page of brief
 You will conduct research on 3-5 areas that make an effective website
 PLAN for improving your website. Create a plan how you will improve the look of
your site by presenting yourself professionally and guide people through your site.

09th March – Week THREE - Improvement Strategies

 Implement your ideas! Be creative and have fun while you begin to work on your website

 Take part in a CV workshop and learn how to PERSONALIZE your presentation by creating a CV for
your website-Remember it's all about keeping things interesting! I would suggest using Power Point
as a possible platform - See bottom of this brief for CV ideas

 Present your Website - This will be an opportunity for you to present your finished presentation to
your audience and receive feedback on your work.
 Take part in a timed presentation of your work to an audience of your peers and lecturers
 Use your time effectively to communicate your ideas in support of your progression to
