Problem solving

Theoretical How to fix Faced Didn’t face

Narrative structure Make sure to stick to the story I want to
tell in this documentary so It doesn’t drift
without a running theme.
I will make sure to keep on checking on
my final idea and use information gained
by my research to keep a flowing theme
Copyright EFL, Premier League, UEFA are strict
with copyright rights, try to achieve an
agreement it will be extremely difficult
but I will attempt it. I could not use
footage if we do not come to an
arrangement
Interviews falling Work on my contingency plan and make
through sure I can have some sort of footage also
make sure that I have somebody that I can
speak to for backup
Sticking to the Make sure to use interview techniques
conventions that follow the conventions of a
documentary
Losing footage Make sure to save my footage on a
memory stick as well as on the computer
Ejecting Memory stick Remember to eject your memory stick
and corrupting footage instead of just yanking it out
Make sure the length I will have to look at the time of the
fits the specs of the documentary and what I can include in the
client or competition time given and set my planned time to 5-
10 minutes before the max allocated time
so if I overrun I won’t be penalised
Practical How to fix Faced Didn’t face
Lighting Make sure you go into a well lit area or
take some form of portable lighting
Sound Make sure to take a mic and test it
beforehand so it is working
Weather Doing an interview in poor weather could
affect the quality. You could ask to go
inside
Coronavirus I may not be able to visit everybody I
restrictions want to interview in person so I need to
know if they can do interviews via Skype,
Teams, Zoom etc.
