Hello everyone,
In each theme, we are going to take a look at each STEAM topic’s overview
and applications, following by hands-on practice online and then summarize
with basic principles and theories as a complete learning circle.
We hope this new learning module can bring you a new way of learning
STEAM Education. Before we start, please read the following important

◆ Course Description
Sustainability and environmental protection are important topics for us. How we
deal with these issues will shape our future. Motivated and skilled teachers are the
key to enable students to meet the challenges of tomorrow. This is especially for
teachers to communicate important knowledge with students in order for them not
only understand the problems but also think about possible solutions.
In STEAM Up 2gether, we select ”Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure” and
“Climate Action” 2 goals “from SDGs(Sustainable Development Goals) to
design courses. You will understand the development of technological solutions
through the problem and project-based learning, and to strengthen your capacity to
teach, facilitate and train students using digital tools.
◆ Course Outcome
You will learn how to implement IOT, Coding, Maker, and 3D printing into your
classroom and can also boost your student’s awareness in there surrounding
environments.

Call for Final Project
“Showcase What You've Learned- SDGs STEAM Solution "
A. Important Information:
a. What’s the Topic?
Focus on “Achieving SDGs through STEAM Solution”. Your topic
must be related to 5 topics that you have learnt during our program.
b. How to attend?
It is required to register our final project as a group of 2 to 4 people. We
encourage everyone to team up, use the skills you have learned in our
course to create your final project. You will earn extra points if your team
is consisted of people from other countries
c. Important date:
Apply: Must submit your presentation file before: August 13th. Must
use the provided Power Point Slide to demonstrate your
presentation.
Announce: Top 5 project will be announced on August 15th.
Showcase: Top 5 project will need to make 5 mins online
presentation on the final class August 18th 17:00-18:30pm (Taipei
time zone)
d. What’s the Key point?
The Presentations suggest consist of:
1. Topic and Subject (Lesson Plan Title)
2. Learning target(s) (The students you intend to participate in the
lesson)
3. Materials and Equipment (Resources required for the lesson)
4. Context/Scenario (Optional - additional information relevant to the
settings of the students)
5. Standards, Objectives and Outcomes (What you expect students to
have learnt by the end of the lesson)
6. Lesson Activities according to 5E model (Engage, Explore,
Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate)
7. Application of Knowledge, Attitude, and Skills (What you expect
students to be able to do by the end of the lesson)

(will be chosen from Top 5 project.)

(4) Then you will find course materials for each class information.
(5) Publish your fist discussion and say hi or introduce yourself.
(6) Remember to log in before every class and once learning progress is
reach 80 %, you will get E-Certificate and you could download it.
(7) Click “My learning” upright and Click “Course” tab in the middle.
