1) Connect Leads / Power / Ground

2) Connect PC to TTR

TTR 300 | TTR 310 C | TTR 310 (Serial) TTR 330 (Ethernet)

3) Turn Instrument On – wait for Start-up Screen

4) Launch PowerDB 10.5 Lite (or Advanced/Pro)

6) Select Model from Dropdown

i) Leave default values for TTR 320/330

ii) To ensure proper serial port connection when connecting to a TTR 300/310 (when using USB-to-
Serial port adapter) follow these steps:

a. Click Device Manager


b. Expand Ports (COM & LPT)

c. Plug in USB-to-Serial port adapter


d. Wait for the Ports (COM & LPT) to Refresh
e. Find the new item in the list. Remember the COM #

The name of the adapter may be different from the one listed (it is based on manufacturer
make and model)

f. Close the Device Manager


g. Hit Refresh Next to Serial Port
h. Select the COM # from step e.

7) Select a form from the list provided (this guide will use 3PH TTR WITH TAP CHANGER – 56365)

9) Left click to View/Change Settings

LEFT CLICK EITHER TO SAVE

10) Run the Test

LEFT CLICK TO START (PROCEED TO STEP 11 FOR TTR 300/310)

VALUES FILLED IN FROM STEP 4 RECOMMENDED

WITH 1:1 SELF TEST RATIO EXPECTED IS 1.000 AND PHASE


DEVIATION IS +/- 3 MINUTES (.05 DEGREES)

TTR 320/330: If the TTR Test Dialog does not appear right away, you may see the dialog box below.

Type in File Name Here

Once file is saved, file will automatically save after each test (without prompt)
