Organizing Safe Classroom

Routine • When you use positive reinforcement such as; stickers,

compliments etc. you increase the students’ confidence. they
feel encouraged and comfortable. They will participate
effectively in the classroom. Also , they will repeat the good
behavior which will create a positive and safe environment.
Set clear rules from
day one
• Setting clear rules from day one, shows the
students what is expected from them. Whenever I
start my lesson the first thing I do is saying the
rules out loud. To remind my students what I
expect from them. Rules like; respecting each
other. Raise your hand when talk. Don’t interrupt
your friend etc. these rules provide equal chance
for every student to participate without feeling
uncomfortable. It also decreases the stress and
anxiety in the classroom environment.
Post Students’
Work
• One of the tips that I used last
teaching practice for a safe
environment is post students works in
the classroom , after activities I ask
students to come to the front of the
class and explain for students what
they have done , so this make them
feel proud and they achieved .

resources for easy

access
Organizing resources will ease the
learning process. As a teacher it is
important to make sure there’s enough
materials and that students are able to
reach them. When you organize
resources, you are assuring the students
safety by making them feel independent
whenever it is activity time. They know
exactly what to do and they don’t feel
confused.
