SMS Regulatory Requirements

2.0 ICAO Annexure


a. The ICAO safety management SARPs as contained in its Annex 19 to the
convention provides the high level requirements, which the tates are
required to implement to fulfill their safety management responsibilities
related to, or in direct support of, the safe operation of aircraft.
b. Operators of aero planes or helicopters authorized to conduct
international commercial air transport / CAT (Annex 6, part –I, II and III,
section II)
2.1 Civil Aviation Requirement for SMS
a. In compliance with the standard of ICAO Annexes, various CARs specify
the requirements for the establishment of SMS by a service provider.
Section 1, Series C, Part 1 specifies the minimum acceptable
requirements for the establishment of SMS by a service provider.
b. CAR Section 1, Series C, Part 1 lays down the aviation safety related
procedures and activities for the establishment of SMS by a service
provider and is issued in accordance with rule 29D and Rule 133A of the
aircraft rules 1937.
c. SSP circular 01 of 2012 will be referred for Maintaining Hazrad Log. SSP
circular 02/2017 will be referred for conducting GAP analysis.

2.2 SMS Regulatory Requirements


This SMS Manual has been created to meet the requirement of CAR
Section 1 Series C Part 1. The following Documents were referenced
