MY REFLECTION IN SEMINAR ABOUT LESSON PLANNING

NAME: GABAT, DEVINE GRACE C.

SECTION: BEE-EGE 2-1

For me since the first day of seminar I’ve learned a lot based on how to present a
lesson plan correctly. I’ve thought in the first place that when creating lesson plan it’s
only about how to figure out day by day lesson on what steps and short-term objectives
need to emphasize. But I was wrong doing lesson plan is a serious matter for every
teachers on how do they present themselves very well in front of their students is very
important. Sir Buted which is the speaker that day thought us how to create lesson plan
in a way that would be formal and informative. I gained so much information and lesson
how to generate or transform my lesson plan in organize and well-plan every objectives
and the lesson prepared for teaching.

Doing lesson plan is a mastery for every teachers who wants to become successful
their teaching and it will be the guide for teachers to measure the understanding of
students. A lot of tips and reminders in seminar and I enjoy it so far. I’ve learned how to
face the students confidently to make sure that every students will paying attention even
the eye contact is very important. There are a lot of tips to remember like need to write
legibly and neatly when teaching the students, always post the instructional materials
from the leftmost part of the board going to the right, make sure that before starting the
lesson erase already the writings on the board to not waste half of the time, set the
classroom rules, put a make-up and heels to become more professional when teaching
and to apply the formality, avoid mannerisms because this is one of the wrong way and
has a possibility that can be misunderstood by students. Another is teacher can use the
HOTS questions that will be a challenge for students if they learn something. As a
teacher needed to teach effectively so that student will gain and expand their
knowledge. When teaching a lesson one thing that don’t forget is the collaboration of
students give them group works or activity to develop their communication skills. Last
thing that will never forget is make learning fun and exciting as an elementary teacher’s
student like exciting and fun events as a teacher it will help them to be an active
participant that will be help to develop their individual self-esteem and self-confidence.

Being a teacher is not as easy it can be a challenge for every teacher who chooses
this path. But the good thing in it is we can help children achieve their dreams. We can
inspire them and become their inspiration someday. It’s difficult being a teacher but if
we have passion and dedication there’s no difficulty in every situation.
