My name is Levi de Groot and I recently graduated
with the combined education degree from the
University of Lethbridge.
I am a hard working teacher who is passionate
about teaching and being in a classroom. I love
building relationships with students and making
sure that they have a safe and caring classroom to
go to. My objective is to join a school where I can
grow as a teacher, be involved in the school
community, and engage students in meaningful
content.

The five year program includes 27 weeks of
practicum, a focus on education classes mixed with
a teachable major. For my teachable major I took
three streams of social sciences: History, Political

I was an intern teacher in a grade five classroom, teaching
mostly Social Studies, Science, Literature, and Synergy. I
completed a professional inquiry project as a school resource
on how to increase reading engagement and interest using peer
modeling. W.A. Day School is a Leader In Me school which I
incorporated into my lessons and professional development.

Worked at The Great Escape for five years from my last year of
high school to fourth year of university. I resigned to focus on
my education practicums. Duties included customer service,
