 The Chapter I of a Research
 The first chapter of a research paper is the
beginning of a study that will be conducted.
 It is composed of the following parts:
 Introduction
 Statement of the Problem
 Hypothesis
 Theoretical Framework and
 Definition of Terms
Introduction

 The introduction of a research leads the study

from its general information to the specific
question that you want to be answered by the
study you are conducting.
 Sometimes, it is starting from a very catchy line
or quotation or it may start by a question.
Statement of the Problem and Hypothesis
 Hypothesis
 It is the assumptions of the
researchers to the S.O.P of their
research.

should have its own theories that will help
them to understand and use that variable.
Definition of Terms
 A word or phrase used to describe a thing or to
express a concept, especially in a particular kind
of language or branch of study.
 Operational Definition and Conceptual Definition
are the two types of defining a word.
 Operational Definition the words are defined on
how it will be used in the study. On the other
hand, Conceptual Definition is the original
definition of the word/s used in the research
paper.
