responsible to the social help.

We discussed with Md. Nizamul Ahsan (the director of Meghan Group) and asked him
various kinds of question about his company. We collected the information directly from him
and the secondary sources.

From the establishment, it has been producing and marketing various fast moving consumer
goods and commodities. So, they has a strong communication system across the company.
The group has been continuously expanding and has emerged as the largest investors in
industrial development in Bangladesh for three consecutive years.

In line with this development, they tried their best to develop their communication process
like online marketing, more use of email and via telephone among the company.

This is undoubtedly a glaring example of passionate initiative and a pioneering leadership

role by a private sector investor in country’s economical and industrial development.

Our Moments with the Meghna Group

31
Chapter 3: Our moments with the Meghna Group

It was a bewitching moment for us to visit such a renowned company as well as an unuttered
feeling as we were closely honoured to have accepted a friendly atmosphere from the office.
Specifically, the director sir’s soft behaviour toward us. He tried earnestly to provide us with
the needed information through maintaining the high secrecy of the Meghna Group. Anyway,
our entrance into the office was full of nervousness as we thought what will happen after
entering the office.

But, when we started visiting the settled environment and sharing speech with the
employees especially with Jalal sir. Gradually, we feel that we were wrong and that is our
second Home. And we, The BBA students, are always welcomed to visit our home. So far,
we felt very nervous that what types of questions we asked to Nijamul Ahsan sir.

After receiving the welcome salutation from the Desk, we then made ourselves engage in
visiting the whole environment. Firstly, we wished to visit the different senior Executives
workplace. We found, they were busy with their work. But, getting the identity of ours, they
made snap gossips with us and shared a bit of their job life. We were much honoured by
them.

We were waiting for the directorsir and planning how would be our behaviour pattern and
questions in front of the executives. As it seemed to us that our past thinking was totally
wrong, we feel relaxant to implement our stated plan. According to plan, we first divided our
task that we have designed to perform behind the executive. The task of asking question
was ascribed to Amirul and ShahJalal. And the task of writing what the director say assigned
to our third member Amiruzzaman. We got excited to meet with the executive.A few moment
later, he call us to join with him and at first sight, he greeted us with a smiling face and told
us to introduce ourselves and also asked our motive to meet with him. However, we started
introducing ourselves and told our objectives and also greeted him cordially. He ordered
coffee, sweet and beverage for us and wished to ask question. Our Group Member Shah
Jalal, asked him some questions related to their communication process, feedback process,
which Business Documents they used much, how he feel like working here and about
company’s dress code. He answered all these questions capably and snugly. The other

32
group member Amirul had implemented his Task with asking him about the Company plan,
company’s expanding industrial zones and what kinds of difficulties they face to start a new
project or plan, his personal motives and some personal questions. He handled all these
Very neatly too. He said that he is engaged with four other companies such as People’s
leasing and Finance Ltd as Vice Chairman and Needle Drop Ltd, M&U Trims Ltd and Siam
Bangla industries Ltd also as a director. He also shared an interesting story with us in which
he mentioned the Finance students as a director, according to him, the finance students
always confine themselves into the Books. He suggested us not to give more emphasis on
the book and mentioned us to know the world by reading journal, weeklies, and newspaper
ext. Anyway, our third group Member, Amiruzzaman recorded the information carefully what
the executive said. His task was really important for our report. So, we the group members
along wit Md. Nijamul Ahsan sir acclaimed him. However, at the last moment, we took the
coffee and then requested him to allow us capturing a photo with him.

We have collected his visiting card. He is fabulous person. He wished us around his Office
after 4 years and welcomed in advance for any kinds of helps regarding him.

Conclusion

34
Chapter 4: Conclusion

Meghna group of Industries is one of the greatest companies of Bangladesh which deals
with products and services. After visiting the work place, we have gained practical
knowledge that is very helpful for pursuing a corporate career. In the era of business,
bookish knowledge is not enough to have influence in our career. Practical knowledge is
very important. And to get practical knowledge, there is no alternative to observe something
properly. Moreover, visiting a corporate office also teaches us formal communication and a
little bit official rules and regulations. So, we think this was an amazing journey and also very
much enjoyable.

Although, there are some limitations, we try our best to solve those challenges. Besides, we
gain some experience that will help us in our future corporate life.
