Explanations:

a) As I observed, encoders A and B have the same total and mean of the number of typing errors.
However, I would choose B to be hired because the results of the computation of the measures of
central tendency show that the related values and mean of B, on my observation, would result to a
lower standard deviation.

b) It is shown in the result that the related values of errors of encoder A has greater variability, level of
dispersison around the mean and is more spread out given the fact that he has greater mean deviation,
standard deviation and coefficient variation compare to that of Encoder B. Therefore, encoder B should
be hired by the company since encoder A is more likely to commit errors than encoder B.

c) I would select the measurement of standard deviation since it is a measure used to determine how
spread out the numbers are. In other words, because of using standard deviation, I was able to come up
who among the two encoders would more likely commit the typing errors which in this case is Encoder
A. The more likely he would commit the mistakes, the less productive he would become in achieving a
high level of accuracy in the exercise of his work at a time-effiicient manner. Such errors can hinder him
from accomplishing his typing job well because he still needs to review and make correction of the
errors he committed which is therefore can consume more of his time. Thus, for productivity purposes,
encoder B is more commendable to be hired.
