(5) A Guide to Assessment Centres (50 minutes)

This activity will take you through the various stages of assessments, how you can prepare, what to
expect when you arrive and how to structure an elevator pitch. It will show you what group
exercises commonly involve and provide tips. There are even videos where assessors describe
positive and negative attributes of their candidates so that you can listen out for what they value
most. Presentations, psychometric tests, in-tray and e-tray exercises, role plays, interviews and
social/informal settings are covered as well.
