WSAT
• Create a license key with multiple different entitlements at the same time.
o Example: Add 5Cap500, PTB, RING in one action
• Possibility to create a PDF of the license certificate
• For ANSI, new capability to generate a default key with just the RMU serial number.
Nokia Customers submit their ASLM log-in requests via an online form contained on the OLCS Web
Portal.
When coming to the Software License Keys landing page in OLCS and clicking on “Access Software
License Management (ASLM) tool” link for the first time, the user will fail to authenticate. There is
a link in the error message through which the user will be able to input the required information and
then be able to submit a request for a log in.
The user, once authenticated, will be notified. Upon the next attempted entry through “Access
Software License Management (ASLM) tool” link, the user will pass directly into ASLM.
Nokia employees submit their ASLM log-in requests by sending an e-mail directly to the SWLD
organization. Below is an example email template for Nokia employees requesting access to ASLM.
The “send-to” addresses are included at the top of the templates.

With the ASLM tool, there are a couple different scenarios for upgrading license keys. The next
sections describe the process to create a license key for each of the different scenarios.
• After logging into the ASLM system you will see the “Dashboard”
• Search for you customer in the Search Field
• If this is not your first time to access ASLM, you will see a list of the last customers accessed.
• You can select one the customers listed in this list to start the license key process
o In the next screen, in the “Name” field, use the RMU serial number of the flash card.
o Enter a serial number and description. It is suggested to use the site name in the
Description field, but any text will be accepted.
o Click on Create Customer System after fields have been entered.
o In the “New License Request” Screen select the Product “Microwave – Wavence
License Upgrade-ANSI” or “Microwave – Wavence License Upgrade-ETSI” and then
click on continue
o Once uploaded user will get a pop up message saying upload was successful.
o Click OK to continue.
o Click on “Validate the license Configuration”
o If there are no errors, you will get the Current configuration of the license key.
o Click on “Automatically consume orders”, Click OK on the pop-up window, and then
click continue.
o At this point the user can download a PDF of the license agreement via the Certificate
(PDF) Button
o To get the key, click on Download.
▪ This will download a file called “Installation.zip”
▪ The Key File is located in the Zip file. The file name will be
MPR_LU_License{flash-serial-number}.txt
• At this point the key is created and it can be applied to the Wavence.
o The Serial number and the latest configuration will be stored in the ASLM database.
• After logging in and selecting the customer system users can search for existing keys under
the “Licensed Systems” text box. To run exhaustive search, check the INCLUDE
ARCHIVED, INCLUDE CANCELLED AND REJECTED, INCLUDE EMPTY SYSTEMS
boxes.”
• Once the correct license is found click on the licensed system name (should be the serial
number) and click on the license.
o The current license will have a name of “commercial- YYYY-MM-DD”
• Click on Update this License
• At this point the key is created and it can be applied to the Wavence.
• The Serial number and the latest configuration will be stored in the ASLM database.
o In the next screen, in the “Name” field, use the RMU serial number of the flash card.
o Enter a serial number and description. It is suggested to use the site name in the
Description field, but any text will be accepted.
o Click on Create Customer System after fields have been entered.
• Configure License
o In the Serial Number field, enter the serial number of the flash card
o The default capacity for the basic key is R12/12Cap040/4CapU0050 as shown below.
o Click on “Automatically consume orders”, Click OK on the pop-up window, and then
click continue.
o At this point the user can download a PDF of the license agreement via the Certificate
(PDF) Button
o To get the key, click on Download.
▪ This will download a file called “Installation.zip”
▪ The Key File is located in the Zip file. The file name will be
MPR_LU_License{flash-serial-number}.txt
The WSAT requires the use of a license key generated via Nokia’s ASLM tool. Customers will need
to order the Nokia part number 3DB19531DBAA, quantity 1 per PC the WSAT is installed. The
customer will need to obtain any of the possible MAC addresses on the computer the WSAT will be
installed.
• Under “Choose product”, select “Microwave – Spectrum Analyzer Tool” and click
“Continue” as in Figure 3
• Fill in the MAC Address as shown in Figure 4. Make sure that there are no spaces, dashes or
colons between the numbers.
• For example, a MAC address displayed as 54-56-00-09-A5-AC should be entered as
54560009A5AC.
• Check the box for RTU Wavence Spectrum Analyzer Tool as shown in Figure 4, click on
“Automatically Consumer Order” and then click on “Continue”
• At this point the license key can be downloaded from ASLM by clicking on “Download” as
shown in Figure 6.
• The downloaded file will be a ZIP file containing the license key.
• See the WSAT Documentation for installation of the license key on the target computer.
In order to extract the license key from the Wavence, the user will need the JUSM that supports the
release of the Wavence the user is connecting to. The connection from the JUSM can be locally via
a direct connection to the Wavence or remotely via an IP network.
In the JUSM, click on Supervision, then SW License to view the license information. See Figure 7
below.

Flash-card Serial Number (RMU Serial Number), license string and License key are displayed. It is
important to provide both the License key AND the RMU Serial number in text form for the ASML
tool to work properly. See Figure 8
Save the license key (and only the license key) in a text file by copying the License Key (Control-C)
and pasting into a text tool (Control-V), such as Notepad in Microsoft Windows. See Figure 9 below.
Use the “RMU (flash card) serial number as the file name when saving the file.
Wavence R7.1 and greater with the CorEvo cards support the license key application via the WebCT.
• To retrieve the license key, click on the “Export” button. This will download the key file to
the local machine as a text file.
In the JUSM, click on Supervision, then SW License to view the license information.
• Flash-card Serial Number (RMU Serial Number), license string and License key are
displayed.
Wavence R7.1 and greater with the CorEvo cards support the license key application via the WebCT.
It is strongly recommended to use the flash card’s serial number as the name the system, however if
the system name is different from the serial number, you can run advanced search from the ASLM
home page.
In some cases, users may need to rename a system. To do this, use the “Update System: feature in
ASLM.
