Re Jamie Brown

This 5 yearold boyJamieBrown initially presentedwith tonsilitis

Forwhich he was treated with Benicillin V 250mg aid for a week

Three weeks later his mother noticed brown urine forfourdaysand

also complained that her son was tired and lethargicother

examinations were unremarkable except his urinanalysis showed
macroscopic haematuria Hewas suggested to drinkplenty of Fluids
and to review withFurther investigations

On review today his BPhas raised from 90160 18.03.70 to 120190

eventhough he remains asymptomatic Urea creatinine were
mildly
slightly elevated but ASOT is significantly high with haematuria
OF renal origin
I believe Jamie has poststreptococcal nephritis and heis at risk
of early renal Failure
I would very much appreciate your further assessment and
management in this patient
