OBJECTIVE:
Develop intellectual mechanisms that provide the contemporary symbolic polyvalent logics for argumentative analysis
and for the knowledge of human language, through the right against fallacies, contradictions, a priori judgments, etc., in
order to develop in the student an ethics of reasoning founded and argued rationally. O.CS.F.5.1.

SKILLS AND PERFORMANCE CRITERIA TO BE DEVELOPED:
Understand the origin of philosophical thought based on the critique of mythical thought by reflecting on concrete
problems. CS.F.5.1.1.
Understand the emergence of philosophical thinking as an effort to explain the phenomena of nature and society from
themselves. CS.F.5.1.2.
Differentiate the truth from validity, through the use of examples in the discussion of a generating topic and the
application of acquired knowledge. CS.F.5.2.1.
Analyze the structures and general principles of logical argumentation (Aristotelian logic, syllogisms) to cultivate
coherent and rigorous thinking. CS.F.5.2.3.
Differentiate the fallacies of paradoxes, based on a valid reasoning exercise. CS.F.5.2.4.
Understand analyze and develop an acceptable domain of argumentation and persuasion through the use of logical
argumentation principles in discourse and written texts CS.F.5.2.6.
Understand and apply the procedures of symbolic logic and its connectors to construct argumentative chains. CS.F.5.2.9
