MYSTERY IN

MUSCAT

CHAPTER 1
Jamie arrives to live in Muscat, Oman. He’s very
bitter about living there and so is his sister, Sarah.
The first day he spends there he’s quite upset but
he quickly makes new friends at the swimming
pool. The lebanese twins Taymour and Nadine, and
Ruth, who is from Australia.

CHAPTER 2
Jamie and Taymour spend the day at Taymour’s place, and
they have to go and water their neighbour Tom’s plants, since
he lives in Scotland. The boys play around for a bit but then
sit down. And they overhear a conversation, about someone
going to kill a woman that is coming to Oman from London,
or so they think. They decide not to tell the police since no
one would believe them and instead try to solve the mystery
by themselves.

CHAPTER 3
Jamie and Taymour tell Nadine, Ruth and Sarah about the
hitmen. They quickly start brainstorming about what they can
do to find them. They search on the internet and in
newspapers, but can’t find anything. However, the next day
Ruth tells them that the woman is likely The Minister of
Culture and the Arts. Her parents that work in a hotel knew
that. Nadine and Taymour’s mother arrives and they are about
to tell her but she is accompanied by one of the hitmen that
Jamie and Taymour overheard. They are unable to explain the
situation to her and decide to keep it to themselves. They
decide they will go to the art exhibition where the Minister is
supposed to be on Saturday and tell her about the danger she
is in.

CHAPTER 4
Saturday comes around, so Jamie and Taymour get to the
hotel where the art exhibition is. They get inside and quickly
find the Minister, rushing over to try and tell her of the
situation. However, the boys end up being wrong since the
minister was not the person the hitmen were talking about.
They are escorted outside of the hotel and both leave,
disappointed with themselves.

CHAPTER 5
Jamie is incredibly disappointed with himself about
being wrong about the woman. The next day he
stays home instead of meeting his friends, thinking
what could have gone wrong in their thought
process. He then realizes that the woman is not a
real woman, but the painting of a woman that was
there during the exhibition. He runs to tell his
friends and just then Ruth tells them excitedly the

CHAPTER 6
news: The painting was stolen the night before. The
kids run to Tom’s flat to see if the painting is there.
Jamie gets in since he is the tallest, but instead of
