CLIENT PROFILE

I welcomed my client from the reception and greeted her then I told her to make herself comfortable on a chair that I had
given her I introduced myself then consulted her on what I can do for her today and as I was doing this I was also doing
consultation and her main concern was oiliness on the surface of the skin, after I assisted her and told her on how to get on the
bed since we also didn’t find any contraindications.

My clients name is Thandiwe Kaseke she is a young lady of 25 years old .She lives an active lifestyle. She is a student at
Midlands State University studying Horticulture. Thandiwe loves travelling and being in the sun playing Volleyball .She
likes to eat healthy and she always tries to incorporate lots of vegetables in her diet and she drinks about 1litre of water each
day, however Thandiwe uses Clinique products that she recently started using 2 months ago hence she said she doesn’t use
any sunscreen and a toner on her face, she likes to read on her spare time and going to fancy places for dinner sometimes
Tanya covers her skin with makeup to hide hyperpigmentation when she is going to work.

Treatment Plan
 I performed skin analysis so that I could give the correct treatment to my client
 Eyebrow shaping and eyelash tinting, eyebrows to give colour and enhance natural beauty
 I will steam for 10 minutes
 I plan to do Galvanic disicrustation to deep cleanse using a negative gel and negative polarity
 I will do direct high frequency to reduce the appearance of oiliness on the skin
 I will finish off my treatment’s with micro current to re-educate muscles no longer contracting and concentrate more
on the sides of the nose and mouth appearing nasal folds
 Massage for 20 minutes using dermalogica massage cream as to relax my client
 Toner I then tone the skin using dermalogica toner which has a cooling effect
 Moisturise I then finished off by using active moist which minimise the appearance of fine lines and provides
effective hydration
MAKEUP REMOVER AND SUPERFICIAL CLEANSE

Applied dermalogica soothing eye makeup remover which contains silk amino acids which helps to strengthen
eyelashes and citric acid. then I went on applying the 1st superficial cleanse where I used dermalogica pre cleanser
which melts away makeup and oil and it contains Apricot kernel oil,vit e caprylic triglyceride and kennel oils which
lifts up excess oils and dirt on the skin leaving the skin nourished and lastly the special cleansing gel which thoroughly
melts away impurities without disturbing the skin moisture balance it contains Quilaja saponaria and lavender which
helps in reducing acne and restore skin complexion .

I then did my skin analysis using a magnifying lamp which magnifies and gives better and bigger image I found out
my client’s skin type which is beautiful and nice complexion however she has an oily skin mostly on the rest of the
face and a slight condition of dehydration on the lips and chin then I moved on to deep cleanse where I used the
steamer to steam my clients face for 10 minutes which is going to benefit my clients skin by softening dead skin cells
and it also open pores for better penetration of the product which I’m going to use and galvanic disincrustation.

DISINCRUSTATION TO DEEP CLEANSE THE SKIN

Therefore, I applied the disincrastration gel which is negatively charged and I switched on the machine. I rolled the
electrodes on my client's skin and my treatment began. I made sure that I did not lift the electrodes as it would have
resulted in my client getting electrocuted or shocked. My working electrode was the negative electrode since the two
have the same charge they will repel each other hence attracting with the indifferent electrode which will be on the
back of my clients shoulder I also made sure I prepared 1 percent of saline solution as my electrolyte so the like poles
will be repelling each other attracting with the indifferent electrode forcing the gel into the skin liquefying sebum then
mixes with the alkaline reaction on the surface of the skin foaming a special soap through a process of saponification
which will deep cleanse the skin this results in vasodilation more blood supply flowing into the skin, stimulation of
nerve endings, deep cleanses the skin and also leaves the skin in an alkaline environment. The treatment lasted for seven
minutes and afterwards I reversed the polarity using conductive gel which was positively charged and as like poles repel
and it will force the gel into the skin and leaves the skin acidic which will prevent bacteria from attacking the skin. The
treatment was also meant to improve skin colour and skin texture.

DIRECT HIGH FREQUENCY BECAUSE OF ITS DRYING EFFECT

Secondly, I used direct high frequency which is and anti-bacterial treatment that warms up the tissues and it also reduces the
appearance of oiliness and whiteheads on the oily parts of the face, it uses alternating current if the electrode is held of the
skin oxygen is ionised forming ozone which is bactericidal and drying and as well as increases circulation and it desquamates
and reduces oiliness. Therefore, I applied powder on the face and began the treatment by placing the mushroom into the
electrode then I sanitised and switched on the machine while the electrode was on the client. I made sure I’m concentrating on
the areas which really needed this treatment more to avoid over drying the skin I did the treatment for five minutes focusing
mostly on the affected areas.

FARADIC TO TONE UP MUSCLES

It is passive exercise treatment to exercise muscles by passing an electrical current through them without conscious
effort of the client. The current causes the muscles to contract in a stimulating period and relax in the stimulating
interval to prevent muscle fatigue .What this treatment would benefit my client is it improves blood circulation hence
skin tone and skin colour is improved .It will also increase cell metabolism bringing nourishment to the skin. Another
great benefit of this treatment is it increases drainage of waste by improving lymph flow .So at start I made sure that
my client was in a reclining position on the bed ,I put all the dials on zero and applied gel over the areas I was going to
work on ,targeting the motor point a motor point is the place where there is the highest point of stimulation of a muscle
.I turned on the intensity of the machine after warning the client of course and proceeded with the treatment making
sure my client was comfortable throughout then moved on to massage where I used dermalogica massage cream which
is light on the skin and gives immediate comfort to the skin and its fast absorbing into the skin I massaged my client
because she said she was feeling a little bit of tension on the neck I did my moves starting from the mandible going
down the platysma across the pectorals round the deltoid’s going back effleurage trapezius and up in to the occipitals
bone relieving tension along the trapezoid and occipital massage relaxes muscle tension and improves blood
circulation as well.

MASSAGE

I proceeded with toning using the Dermalogica Multi Active spray toner which contains cucumber and balm mint
which refreshes the skin then to moisturise the skin I used dermalogica skin smoothing cream which contains silk
amino acids and glycol which acts as an emollient which prevents water loss from the skin promotes elasticity and
improves skin texture, suppleness and tone
CLIENT FEEDBACK:

The treatment was quite amazing and was so relaxing she needs to be more active and she was not putting too much pressure
on the skin especially with the machines she was so careful and explaining every treatment which made me so confident about
my therapists

REFLECTIVE PRACTICE

As i was working I noticed that I really tried to concentrate on my machines but wen I was doing faradism I really had a
challenge on seeign the contractions since my client was feeling uncomfortable but she said she could feel the contractions.

OVERALL CONCLUSION

The treatment was really amazing as I wasn’t wasting time doing nothing I made sure I utilised all the time efficiently and as
well communicating well with my client.
