There are specialised institutes to train about animation, where animation in various fields is
being taught one among them is Architectural Animation which is a short architectural
movie created on a computer.A computer-generated building is created along with
landscaping and sometimes moving people and vehicles.
1.3 OBJECTIVE……
computer graphics probably is one of the fastest moving and demanding in the field of
information technology today. The development of new ideas and products has enabled the
graphics and multimedia designer to create the graphics with fantastic results and quality.
Careers in multimedia are different and numerous as the medium itself. The sheer variety and
range of developments in the field of multimedia is amazing and overwhelming for the
multimedia designers and creators.
In earlier times, multimedia and the art of animation was restricted to more simple forms.
Today, animation includes everything from cartoons, to special effects in movies and even
effects in advertisements, television or hoardings. It is an extremely vast field with various
applications. This field of 3D animation is developing at an alarming rate.
According to a survey, gaming and animation are no longer “sunrise” industries. Instead, they
have started taking wing in different directions. It says, “While the Indian animation and gaming
industry is still in the nascent stage, the sector is expected to show significant growth in the
near future as global outsourcing within the market takes.
This calls a need for institute of animation for further development in this field.
Understanding the back ground of Art of Animation and the research activities related to it.
Analyzing and zoning of activities with respect to their relationships.
Getting to knoe the potential and constraints of the project.
It is designed environment which creates a common interactive platform between the visitors
and the employees.
The Project is intended to provide a workspace that is lively and active which adds on to the
productivity.
To provide facilities, keeping in mind the rapid industrial (animation industry) development.
1.5 CASE STUDY: Kantana Institute Of Animation and film making
The building has an “Inserted for” with a linear corridor with the north-south axis and the east-
west axis. The corridor divides into four blocks with different functions. The Inserted forest to be
used as meditation space, so as to remind them to concentrate what they are doing, whether it
is making, or moving from place to place.
There are five different areas within the establishment: An administration office, a lecture room,
a workshop, a library and a canteen. These areas are all linked by an Inserted forest in the
shape of a log pathway. The pathway is made out of grey stone and to walls are made from
bricks. The 8 meters high wall is a background of the sun, a tree, and a man when they are
connected by each other’s shadows.
The administration office is a multi-function space containing a chairperson’s office, program
office and a general office. They are connected to the courtyard. The sunlight makes this a very
pleasant area.
The lecture room is a quiet area surrounded with a brick wall and “an Inhabit wall”. This the
ideal space to relax and unwind in between or after lectures. It is a free standing wall without
borderline.
The workshop is a good example of the interior character “darkness” . It creates the feeling of a
dream at night time. It helps the students to feel peaceful and to focus while producing their
animation projects. The library is a place where the natural sunlight from above, the sound of
nature and the darkness the surround the courtyard, come together in unison This room
consists of a wall lined.
With book, a meeting room, a Librarian counter, and multimedia area t in the center of the
room. The canteen is an open air building. It is at the end of the pathway.
To make this a multifunction area for different activities, this space is “non room”. In regards to
materials used : This building is designed on the ”return to basics construction”. It is based on
natural craftsmanship.

The Aqua marine park is a park consisting of an area of sea (or lake) sometimes protected
for recreational use, but more often set aside to preserve a specific habitat and ensure the
ecosystem is sustained for the organisms that exist there.
Although for many uses it is sufficient to designate the boundaries of the marine park and to
inform commercial fishing boats and other maritime enterprises, some parks have gone to
additional effort to make their wonders accessible to visitors. These can range from glass-
bottomed boats and small submarines, to windowed undersea tubes.
The development will provide a space for the local community to come together and connect
on multiple levels, there can be a changing spectrum of activities, from the most
casual and personal moments to group events, family moments and formal group
celebrations.
2.2 AIM OF THE PROJECT…..
To design an aquapolis for all category of people of all age group and gender by
maintaining the natural environment of the aquatic plants and animals.
To attract foreign tourists mainly and also promote weekend family tourism from the
metropolitan city’s.
To spread awareness and studies related to oceanography.
2.3 OBJECTIVES…..
Such a proposal of this project in India would not only aim at the conservation of
marine life but also works towards the development and at the same time reap
benefits from foreign exchange by attracting foreign tourists.
India has a vast potential for fishing resources comprising of a long coastline and 30%
of the people living on the shore, mans dependence on the sea and the life it nurtures
cannot be ignored. It is his own turn to contribute to the symbiotic relationship.
Educating people in this respect and stressing the urgency of conservation would not
be better achieved than through entertainment.
Thus proposals like this go a long way in educating people through entertainment to
make them realize their responsibilities towards other life forms.
The scope would be to create awareness about marine and aquatic life.
It should also help to generate interest and knowledge among students as well as
researchers about the aquatic world. It should act as a tourist, recreational and
educational center concerning marine life.
Featuring a combination of entertainment, recreational and retail facilities, this development will
provide an innovative and inspiring destination for the people of Kogalym and the surrounding
areas of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.
Careful consideration has been given to the placement of individual attractions within the
development with special emphasis on educational and learning opportunities in order for the
complex to become a truly community oriented destination.
The development will provide a space for the local community to come together and connect
on multiple levels. We imagine a broad, changing spectrum of activities, from the most
casual and personal moments to group events, family moments and formal group celebrations.
The development aims to bring new experiences and services to the people of Kogalym,
resulting in long-term improved quality of life. This will be the measure of it’s success.
