DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
WORKSHOP - 2nd to 5th
SIX MONTHS COURSE IN CINEMATOGRAPHY October 2014
Academic Term for the 18th Batch
(February 2015 -July 2015)
To apply for the course, the concerned candidate should
possess an undergraduate degree either in the science or the
arts. However, +2 students with three years’ experience in
Photography / Film Industry may also apply.

Photography Optics
Imaging Technology
Lighting & Exposure
Study of Still & Movie Cameras (Film & Digital)
Digital Cinematography
Elements of Film Direction, Screenplay, Sound, Editing and
Film Production
Other activities during the course:
30 nos. of selected feature films will be screened and
discussed

About 30 nos. of practical sessions which involve lighting


practice and operation of Film and Digital movie cameras will
be conducted

Field visits include visits to shooting spots, Digital motion
picture intermediate lab
APPLICATION GUIDE FOR CINEMATOGRAPHY
Application form can be downloaded from our website.
Completed application form along with DD for Rs.2,500/-
drawn in favor of MINDSCREEN FILM INSTITUTE, payable at
Chennai, to be submitted or couriered to MINDSCREEN
FILM INSTITUTE on or before 20th December, 2014.
Proof of academic credentials (photocopies) and work
experience to be enclosed. Originals to be presented during
the personal interview stage.
Preference will be given to candidates who have attended at
least one International Film Festival in India /Abroad.
A statement of purpose in 200 words indicating reasons for
interest in the course & career in Cinematography to be
enclosed with the application form.
Shortlisted applicants will be called for a personal interview

& final selection stage. Interviews will be held by 1st week of
January, 2015.
COURSE FEE, TERMS & CONDITIONS
Upon selection, the concerned candidate is expected to pay the
following sum within a week after the receipt of the Admission
card:

1 Tuition Fee Rs.2,45,000 + Service Tax


2 (+) Caution Deposit Rs. 20,000 (Refundable)
3 (+) Assignment Fee Deposit Rs.50,000
4 (+) Project Fee Deposit Rs.30,000

Note: Any delay in paying the Fee within stipulated period


would result in the seat being allotted to the next wait listed
candidate.
All outstation candidates should source their own
accommodation as Mindscreen Film Institute is not a
residential institution but assistance would be provided for
sourcing accommodation.
Upon the successful completion of class works, assignments,
practical’s, projects and final written examinations with
adequate attendance record, the candidate will be formally
awarded an Associate Cinematographer Certificate.
