3 1/8" Ultra Slim MPR
Baker Hughes INTEQ’s 3 1/8” US MPRâ (Ultra Slim Multiple
Propagation Resistivity) tool provides real-time LWD propagation 3 1/8" Ultra Slim MPR®
resistivity measurements with deep and shallow lateral investigation
of the formation. The proven MPR system combines compensating
antennas and two operating frequencies to produce quality quantitative
resistivity measurements with enhanced accuracy over a broad range
of high resistivity formations. The tool operates with the NaviTrak I
probe battery powered MWD system and is designed to run in
combination with our OrientXpressâ and CoilTrakTM coiled tubing 3-1/8” Connector

The US MPR features a dual-frequency compensated two-transmitter,

two-receiver array of antennas providing four (4) quantitative multi-
depth resistivities and a total of 16 raw measurements. Two

transmitting antennas operate at two distinct frequencies permitting Access Port
long-and short-spaced measurements of phase difference and Adapter Sub

hydrocarbon/water contacts. For geosteering, the unique 400 kHz
frequency enables extended depth of investigation into the formation
for early detection of bed boundaries and greater immunity to
environmental and formation effects.

The MPR service enables the evaluation of permeable zones, Rt
calculation, identification of geological markers and lithology changes
and detection of oil/water and gas/water contacts (including the
selection of coring, casing and kick-off points). Lower 9.3 ft
