It was pretty great at first, as the first 2-3 months of the pandemic. I usually
live in Dhaka as a bachelor, so going home and living with it was pretty
awesome. From time to time food, a good amount of sleep building a
regular healthy routine. That life was great. I missed that sometimes.
However, things started when I started to adopt the easy life. I gained
weight, get tired quickly, and one of the most significant issues was THE
PRIVACY. There was none! Adjusting the privacy part was pretty hard
because after maintaining a long private life, there is a considerable
adjustment period for the time being.
A typical day would be any of us would wake us up for the day. Anyone of us
means whoever wakes up first. Then we had our breakfast, watched Gopal
bhar, an animated cartoon show, talked about family issues, and then
finished up the morning episode. Then usually I attend my classes, and we
have lunch. After lunch, probably after like 10-14 years later, I slept on the
noon.
The afternoons were great. In the pandemic staying home, I never missed
the restaurant food. Mom keeps trying and experimenting with different
types of foods. And we were her gunnie pigs.
We started to share and discuss our situation that we are not usually
discussing. Yes, we did have some ups and downs, some problems, but
eventually, those make us closer.
Another exciting thing to learn everyone has different talents. Like my elder
brother can cook an excellent Pakistani biriyani, he learned his way to there
on his voyage, it was pink’ish and tasted awesome everyone loved that.
My mom discovered that she could embroider clothes. This wasn’t that
surprising because I genuinely believe I could do anything.
