Give evidence for the scores.

This topic in math focuses on shapes, both 2D and 3D. The students are strong with the names of the 2D shapes,
but learning 3D shapes is a challenge for some students. Kay does a great job of starting math with a catchy video
that reviews the names of the 3D shapes. The students are always very engaged and focused during this song.
This lesson focused on 3D shapes and their position in relation to other objects. This can be a difficult task because
students need to not only identify position words, but also the names of the 3D shapes. Kay did a great job of
reviewing the shapes using the wooden blocks throughout the lesson. She also let the shapes sit on a student’s
desk who was absent earlier in the week when we first learned the names. Kay ended the lesson with reviewing
the shapes. The consistent review of will really help the students when identifying shapes.
