The Wonderful Wizard of OZ and The Thinker

This well-known children book is one of the most impressive book that includes fantastic characters and
ripping story.

Firstly, it is needed to give a very short summary about story and the characters that mentioned in the
book. Dorothy is the girl that living a farm with her uncle. One day a tornado come out and it catches her
and her dog toto inside the house and carries them far away. After they landed , Dorothy finds
themselves in a magical Word. During the landing of house, Wicked witch of the East has been killed by
unintentionally. The witch of the North is appreciated Dorothy his situation and gives a silver shoes to
her. Also The witch advise her to follow yellow brick road to find Great Wizard Oz and give her a kiss to
protect her from evilness.

During this journey, Dorothy and Toto meet and joined with Scarecrow who desire a brain, the Tin
Woodman who desire a heart, and the Cowardly Lion who looking for courage and bravery. During
journey they stopped by The wicked witch of West and winged monkeys destroy Scarecrow and Tin
woodman also cage the Cowardly Lion. Witch wants to Dorothy’s shoes. This makes Dorothy very angry
and grap a bucket of water and throw at Witch who then melts and disappear. Dorothy then fixes the
Scarecrow and Tin woodman and make free Cowardly Lion.

After that they return The OZ and Oz gives all wishes of Dorothy’s friends and shows that a balloon that
take her to Kansas City but it flies away before she gets in.

After a suggestion, Dorothy and friends go for help of Witch of South. After having harsh time, they
manage to find Glinda’s castle. Witch shows her how to turn back home. Clicks her heels three times and
says ‘Take me home to the Aunt Em’. She is turned back home to farm in Kansas.

After giving brief story about book, if I were one of the characters in story, I would choose to be a
Thinker man which seeking for the meaning of his life. He always thinks about the how life is started and
whether there is a life except for our world. This seeking makes him desperate and upset. Also he is
lonely and he cannot find anybody tos hare and learn an idea about his questions.

Once a day, when he goes for a walk in forest, he saw the Dorothy and her friend. Dorothy ask him that
how to find Great OZ.

Thinker said that I heard The Great OZ but I never known how to find it. Also I ‘ve been looking for since
long years to ask my questions.

And Dorothy said that If you wish you can join us to find Great OZ. Maybe you can help us to find him
quickly as you are smart people.

The Thinker finds this offer very attractive and accept to join Dorothy ‘group. By the help of Thinker’s
suggestion, they find The OZ very quickly. Then Thinker was so excited to meet Great Oz because he
knows that Oz knows everything. Thinker ask the questions which is obsessed with them. The Oz also did
not know the question in fact nobody did not know this question’s answer. Oz make a suggestion him to
find a city where there are a lot of libraries and philosopher.

After that, Thinker obey the Oz’s suggestion and eventually find the city. After spending lots of time in
there, Thinker relied that no one knows this answer but nobody gives up thinking. Thinker understand
the meaning of life is never give up and always searching what you find. Finally, thinker start to be happy
and hopeful about life.

To sum up, this book is giving a massage about never give up about our desire and shows that each of
the travelers already possessed what they had thought they missing. Hence , we should find our answers
by looking ourselves .
