3.0 Methodology
2.1 Research Design
The research will focus on qualitative approach since a qualitative research focuses on underlying and understanding reasons and opinions. The proponents opted to use phenomenological study under qualitative research since it is about the lived experience of individuals as it fits the research’s topic which is about the differences between local and foreign advertising towards the own everyday encounter of ABM 11. 2.2 Research Locale The researchers decided to conduct the study at Our Lady of Fatima University – Antipolo Campus for an easier access of the target respondents, the Grade 11 ABM students. 2.3 Key Informant Selection The researchers used Purposive sampling as a key informant, since the selection of participants in the sampling technique was based on the opinion of the researcher. The researcher chose the ABM11 students for being aligned of their strand and being familiar to the topic. The research will have sets of criteria for the respondents, that is related to the topic. The participants must meet the qualifications to became part of the research, the qualifications are; (1) The respondents should be belong to the ABM strand and grade 11 students, (2) he or she must be at least 16-20 years old (3) the respondent should be a student of Our “Comparative Study about Local and Foreign Advertising to the Grade 11 ABM students” 7
Lady of Fatima University – Antipolo Campus.
2.4 Research Ethics In order to minimize the risk on performing unethical behaviors towards the respondents while conducting this study, the researchers must have to apply and keep [1] Respect for the intellectual property by not publishing the data and result given by the respondents without their permission. [2] Honestly give the correct data avoid using fabricated or misrepresent data. [3] Strive to avoid bias in data, personnel decision and other part of the study. [4] In terms of co-researchers maintain the openness in every member share the data, content, ideas and other information included to the study. [5] Non-Discrimination is the most important ethics while conducting this study, avoid discrimination on the basis of sex, race and other factors that can affect an individual. 2.5 Research Instruments We advocate this study to use survey questioners and voice recorder to gather some data and to obtain data on a topic of interest from our research subject. We will gather our data with one on one interview with the respondent and communicate with them naturally. Voice recorder will be use to allow more consistent transaction. And we’ll assure that the participants will be thoroughly oriented about the nature of the study and recording matters before proceeding with the interview and throughout the interview session, the researcher will have to make use some interview guide question for a better and systematic flow of the interview proper. 2.6 Data Collection The researcher will conduct brainstorming session wherein all the possible references will be presented. The researcher will ask from different people to refer someone who could be fitted respondent for the study. We will gather our data with one on one interview and communicate them naturally with the use of Purposive Sampling Technique. The most critical objective of data collection is to ensure that information-rich and reliable data is collected for statistical analysis so that data driven decisions can be made for research and to get the perfect outcome. 2.7 Data Analysis After we collect all the data, we will proceed to the data analysis. The researchers will conduct a brain storming to know and to understand each of everyone’s perceptions with regards to the data that we’ll collect from the respondents. The decision will be providing a way of every members insight about the topic. Members and Contributions:
