Statement of the Problem

The study focused on Exploring the Effects of Technical Issues in eLearning that

Grade 12 Students Encounter in Our Lady of Fatima University during Academic Year

2021-2022

It aims to answer the following questions.

1. What internet are you using for your online class?

2. What type of technical issues did you encounter in your online class?

3. Does slow internet has a significant effect to you?

4. What is the benefits of internet to you?

Many students are not provided with the high bandwidth or the strong internet connection

that online courses require, and thus fail to catch up with their virtual classmates: Their

weak monitors make it hard to follow the Course Management System and their learning

experience becomes problematic.


General Problems:

• Students who are having difficulties on internet connectivity thus making

online class a major problem.

• Students’ willingness to learn academic knowledge but wasn’t able to learn

enough for having no enough money to buy load to have an internet

connection.

Specific Problems:

• The lack of cell towers has been one of the barriers that result in slow and

costly Internet services in the country.

• Difficulties to keep on tune with the technical requirements of the chosen

course.

• System glitch- The crashing of the application, sudden removal from an

ongoing class, the incompatibility of the application on certain devices.

• A sudden upgrade on a device/Internet connection becomes a necessity to

those who want to attend the class.

Objectives of the study

*To know the technical problems in e learning

*To identify the effects of technical issues on students and how can it affect the

performance of the students.


*Suggest measures to improve the eLearning experience

*To present a solution to solve the technical problems and issues in eLearning
