Technical Issues

One of the things to pay attention to when implementing learning methods online is in terms
of internet access. This is because they have to follow online classes from their respective
homes and villages. Most students gain internet access the good ones are students living in
urban areas. Meanwhile, some student in rural areas have trouble getting good internet
access. Some had to climb hills by bringing a laptop, wifi modem, lecture notes and a tripod
for access good internet. Other than that, some of them don’t even own computers and seek
help in Learning Resource Centres for technical assistance.

Environmental Conditions

An unconducive learning environment is also one of the challenges faced by students to

conduct online learning and can cause a student got low marks. Each student has a different
family background. This unconducive learning environment often happens to students with
backgrounds behind a poor or modest family. This is because, their parents cannot afford it
provide facilities for their learning such as study desks, fans and rooms privately for them to
study. Classes conducted online take quite a while long i.e. one subject takes at least two
hours. One day, every student need to attend three classes online. When students have to
sit in front of a computer with a long time without moving or walking in uncomfortable
conditions, will causing the body to feel pain. The challenges faced by students will increase
when they no private room to study and has a younger brother.

Financial Challenges

Students also face challenges in financial aspects. Many students who feel burdened when
they have to spend money to buy internet data for allows them to attend online classes,
online exams and even for submit assignments. To enable students to follow online learning,
it is need a fast, fast and hassle -free internet line and to get it is not cheap. A study on the
education delivery system conducted by Yahaya and colleagues - friends found most
students were overwhelmed with financial problems to bear spending on learning tools at
home. They have to spend a lot of money for allowing them to take online classes more
effectively.
