Ibom State –Nigeria; started its operations on 30th day of May, 2016, after registration
with the Corporate Affairs Commission as a business entity (RC 1338533), under
COMPANY AND ALLIED MATTERS ACT 1990; pursuant to section 659 of the
Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as a Company that also engages in
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Solutions, focused on providing
innovative, technologically advanced and cost effective software application

CHALLENGES IN EDUCATION SYSTEM IN NIGERIA AND SOLUTION

Today’s education scenario is rapidly changing and demanding. The system demands
greater levels of academic managing, monitoring, data-storing and communication
between States’ Ministries of Education, Professionals in the sector, Educationists,
Principals, Headmasters, Headmistress, Teachers, Students, Pupils, Parents and other
Stakeholders in the sector so as to have optimum use of Educational resources.
Government’s objectives and responsibilities demand more and more skill
requirements from all fields to enable the sector thrive well.

Therefore, Ministry of Education needs an information management platform that

will facilitate a gateway to a centralized information system of learners profile from
first day in school, detailing learner’s academic activities such as Admission into
School, Assessment Performance, Promotions, Results, School to School migration
history, Graduation, Teachers’ profile/verification, Transfer as well as Automated
Teaching –Evaluation.

My School Suite (MSS) is a comprehensive school management and learning

platform with the capacity to making Ministry of Education manage, track, monitor,
supervise, and evaluate all the schools in the state with accuracy, flexibility and speed
with just a click. This wonderful first-class learning and management platform is
developed by JOEJEAN INTEGRATED SERVICES LIMITED in partnership with
PARACLETOS ALLY-SOLUTIONS, a high tech software developing company.
The platform was built after years of thorough research work in many schools and
with professionals in the sector. It was developed from scratch in Nigeria, with the
capacity to serve all the schools in Africa and beyond without any server down-time.
My School Suite (MSS) is currently in use in Nigerian Schools; it is updated always
because of its durability and standard, hosted in a cloud server for maximum
performance.

WHY THE AKWA IBOM STATE GOVERNMENT THROUGH THE

MINISTRY OF EDUCATION NEED MY-SCHOOL SUITE SOFTWARE?

1. In-depth utilization of ICT technologies for information management in our

government schools in line with the technological revolution of the 21st century.

2. His Excellency The Governor, Commissioner of Education and other managers of

the state’s education sector can monitor the progress of education from the
comfort of their homes and offices anytime.

3. Developing and managing websites for all Schools in Akwa Ibom State.

4. Digitalization government’s education sector hence, becoming the first in Nigeria

and Africa as a whole to do so.

5. To provide a gateway to a centralized information system of learners profile from

first day school, detailing learner’s academic activities such as admission into
school, assessment performance, promotions, results, school to school migration
history and graduations

6. To serve as a one-click reference center for on-demand academic history of an

individual by third party institutions such employers of labour, foreign agencies,
and tertiary institutions, etc.

7. Learners get a one-time –all-time unique registration number which will be used
throughout his stay in the learning community. This foster the unification of
learner’s profile across schools of placement, tracking of academic records as
well linking up his/her data across school to school migration, to the effect that
information is preserved instead of lost.
8. It provides the State Ministry of Education a platform for monitoring, managing,
tracking and getting reports about the general learning community of the state,
like; numbers of schools in the state, total number of pupils and students per
class per school, online admission time-line per school, population of
indigenous learners and foreigners in the learning community, male to
female ratio, best performing student/pupil in a particular class for a given
subject of study across schools in the state, general performance of learners
in specified subjects in the state, and lot more as need arises.

9. Should any natural disaster and fire outbreak engulf the building or facility
housing learners and teachers documents in the ministry, there is a constant day-
to-day back-up to cloud server of all the information to the effect that non get
lost.

10. Makes it easy for the ministry of education to understand the need of every school
in the state in terms of Subject Teachers and conduct appropriate deployment or
transfer of staff to schools in line with the needs with just a click.

11. Makes it possible for the ministry of education to evaluate staff performance base
on class and subject performance.

12. This platform will provide the state educatoion management the information
needed for effective planning and decision making in terms of SPONSORSHIP,
SCHOLARSHIP, WAEC, NABTEB, NECO and other educational activities
sponsored by the government.

13. Eradicate all incidences of ghost students and workers in the system.

14. It also eliminates all forms of corrupt practices in the system.

15. Makes teachers more committed than ever before as they are aware of a direct
monitoring and evaluation termly.

16. Generate extra revenue without the ministry spending any.

17. Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Education being the first to digitalize government
schools in the country and Africa as a whole will be a reference-point and will be
treated with Dignity and Respect.
18. With this development, the state will educationally become the best in the
Country and Africa at large.

19. The company offers to train all the ministry staff and teachers under the Ministry
of Education to adequately understand the functionalities and proper usage of the
platform for efficiency and productivity.

exams/screening or any other development at a click. Moreover, the system
makes it easy to proceed with admission offering, admission letter issuance and
enrolment.

teacher with results computation, grading, performance evaluation and ranking,
after which the results are submitted for the school administrator to review and
publish with just a click.

terms of academics; continuous assessment, assignment/home work, exams; result,
time-table, holidays and extra-curricular activities etc. anywhere they are just with
their smart phones or laptop.

EXECUTION AND FUNDING OF THE PROJECT:

JOEJEAN INTEGRATED SERVICES LIMITED will;
 1. Set up and manage websites for all Schools in Akwa Ibom as will be directed
by the government.
2. Collate data of all students and pupils from all schools and create a data base
for each of the schools.
3. Collate continuous assessment and examination score from teachers in each
school for creation of termly result sheets on line which can be printed by the
Parents from any part of the world.
4. Follow up successful activities of Schools and use it to update the schools
website regularly.
5. Print scratch cards which Parents will use to check their wards results on line.
6. Conduct free training for government teachers, staff of the education ministry
and other managers of the educational system.

JOEJEAN INTEGRATED SERVICES LIMITED requires an approval from the

Government for sales of result scratch cards to Parents at NINE HUNDRED NAIRA
(N900.00) PER CARD PER TERM to enable it fund and maintain its operations
and services for all government schools in the state including the ministry of
education.

JOEJEAN INTEGRATED SERVICES LIMITED also advises that government

can add a fee to the amount proposed so as to use it for development and maintenance
of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Laboratories in
government schools.

CONCLUSION:
It is worthy of note that this proposal if accepted by the Government of Akwa Ibom
State will add value to the State’s educational sector at no cost on the path of
government and will also help His Excellency the State Governor to know
exactly the number of students He will cater for yearly for any government
sponsored educational program.
