Note: The Literature curriculum had a number of sessions integrated with Art and Craft. The
mentioned objectives can be easily achieved in Art and Craft sessions. Thus majorly, such
sessions have been deleted.
The curriculum also had a few topics that were integrated with SS (direction, maps, animals, etc.).
These too have been deleted keeping in mind that the objectives are covered either in the previous
grade, or the same grade or the next.
Writing a story is deleted as it is covered in LA Grade 2. Adjectives is deleted keeping in mind the
same is covered in LA in both Grades 1 and 2.
A sub-unit 'Poem Comprehension' is deleted because there are two more Units on Poem
Comprehension being covered in the same subject/grade.
Topics such as poster making, debate, sequel writing, letter writing are deleted as they are not
recommended by both ICSE and CBSE boards for Grade 2.

The reader 'Goldfish Don’t Take Bubble Baths' is completely dropped as the objectives of the
reader are covered through the other two readers i.e. Amelia Badelia and Fantastic Mr Fox.
Keeping in mind the online ode of learnering, this book is deleted so that the other readers can be
covered at a comfortable pace.
