TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR VIRTUAL STUDENT EXCHANGE ACTIVITIES

BIN FOR EDU 2021

CULTURAL VIDEO TOUR

A. Conditions:
1. Fill in registration form for the CULTURAL TOUR VIDEO competition;
bit.ly/SEcompetitions
2. Make a video about something related to culture, historical buildings in the area of each
applicant.
3. Videos are up to 3 minutes long.
4. Videos can be added with illustrations and music, where the illustrations and music are
the responsibility of the participants and have received permission and do not violate
copyright.
5. The video quality that is contested is a maximum of Full High Definition (Full HD) 1080,
6. The submitted video is an original work and was made in 2021 as evidenced by EXIF
data.
7. The video does not have a watermark.
8. Videos are in English.
9. Participants wear institutional clothes / almamater clothes.
10. Video work has never been a winner in any Competition and has never been shown in
commercial media,
11. The object or content in the video work is fully the responsibility of the participants. The
committee does not responsible for any complain regarding the video that was
contested,
12. The committee has the right to use video works for publication and promotion of the
culture of the related region,
13. The committee has the right to disqualify participants who submit works that do not meet
the competition rules, are deemed to contain elements of racis, or violate moral norms,
14. Video assessment is determined based on culture, angle, edits, composition, moments,
authenticity, timeliness and clarity of the introduction of the building / food / etc. in the
video.
15. The decision of the judge is final and inviolable.

B. Technical Delivery
1. The registration period ends on April 01, 2021
2. Period for submitting video March 30 – April 03, 2021. Each file is equipped with a title,
description of the location and a brief narrative about the object.

C. Schedule of Implementation
1. Videos are sent from March 30 – April 03, 2021

HEALTHY FUN

A. Conditions
1. Fill in the HEALTHY FUN VIDEO competition registration form: bit.ly/SEcompetitions
2. Participants in the HEALTHY FUN VIDEO competition come from various majors,
3. Participants wear institutional clothes / almamater clothes.
4. The video is a health education with a free health theme.
5. Videos are up to 3 minutes long,
6. Videos in English
7. The video does not have a watermark,
8. Videos can be added with illustrations and music, where the illustrations and music are
participant’s responsibility and have permission and do not violate copyright,
9. Video quality that is contested is a maximum of Full High Definition (Full HD) 10800,
10. The video submitted is an original work and was made in 2021 as evidenced by EXIF
data,
11. Video work has never been a winner in any Competition and has never been shown in
commercial media,
12. The object or content in the video work is fully participant’s responsibility. The
committee not responsible for any complain regarding the video that was contested,
13. The committee has the right to use video works for publications and health promotion
purposes.
14. The committee has the right to disqualify participants who submit works that do not
meet the competition rules, are deemed to contain elements of racis, or violate moral
norms,
15. The assessment of the video is determined based on the material delivered according
to the theme, the value of the message conveyed, the creativity of the work and
originality, and the timeliness.
16. The decision of the judge is final and inviolable.

B. Technical delivery

BLS (BASIC LIFE SUPPORT) VIDEO

A. Conditions:

1. Fill registration form at bit.ly/SEcompetitions

2. BLS contestants are Nursing/ Midwifery students,

3. Participants wear uniform / almamater uniform.

4. Participants use English

5. Participants are a team consisting of 2 people (maximum),

6. The video work is Basic Life Support using a pre-hospital setting and is carried out in
5 (five) stages according to the 2015 AHA guidelines,

7. The competition consists of 1 (one) session, namely practice,

8. All participants in one team must be able to perform all actions in 5 (five) stages of
BLS,

9. Basic Life Assistance is carried out from the preparation stage to documentation,

10. Videos are up to 3 minutes long,

11. Videos in English

12. Video does not have a watermark,

13. The video quality that is contested is a maximum of Full High Definition (Full HD)
1080,

14. The committee has the right to disqualify participants who submit works that do not
meet the competition rules, are deemed to contain elements of racis, or violate moral
norms,

15. Video ratings are determined based on video quality, and in accordance with the
provisions of the 2015 AHA,

16. The decision of the judge is final and inviolable.

B. Technical delivery of Basic Life Assistance competitions

1. The registration period ends on April 01, 2021

2. Period for sending video works March, 30 - 02 April 2021. The file includes a title
3. Video submissions via email: studentexchangevirtual@gmail.com with the subject:
VSE2021_campus_topic (Example: VSE2021_CEU_BLS)

C. Schedule of Implementation

1. Videos are sent from March 30 – April 02 2021,

2. Judging will be conducted on April 03, 2021,

3. Best video be announced on April 04, live competition on April 6, 2021

4. Winners will be announced on 26 April 2021.


BLS (BASIC LIFE SUPPORT) Live Zoom

A. Conditions:

1. Fill out the BLS competition registration form: bit.ly/SEcompetitions

2. Participants in the BLS are Health students,

3. Participants wear institutional clothes / almamater clothes.

4. Participants use English

5. Participants are a team of 2 people (maximum),

6. The competition will be held live via Zoom application.

7. Basic Life Support Contest using a pre-hospital setting and conducted in 5 (five)
stages according to the 2015 AHA guidelines,

8. The competition consists of demonstration,

9. All participants in one team must be able to perform all actions during the 5 (five)
stages of BLS

10. Basic Life Support is carried out from the preparation to documentation,

11. Participants are given 5 minutes to live demo and watched by the judge.

12. The decision of the judge is final and inviolable.

B. Technical competency delivery of BHD

1. Registration period until April 01, 2021

C. Schedule of Implementation

1. Judging will be conducted 06 April 2021,

2. Winners will be announced on 26 April 2021.


VIRTUAL CAMPUS TOUR

A. Conditions:

1. Fill in registration form: bit.ly/SEcompetitions

2. The video work discusses the campus touring of each participant’s campus

3. Video are up to 3 minutes long

4. Videos in English

5. Videos can be added with illustrations and music, where the illustrations and music are
participant’s responsibility, have permission and do not violate copyright.

6. The video quality maximum of Full High Definition (Full HD) 1080,

7. The submitted video is an original work and was made in 2021 as evidenced by EXIF
data.

8. Video does not have a watermark.

9. Video work has never been a winner in any Competition and has never been shown in
commercial media,

10. The object or content in the video work is fully participant’s responsibility. The committee
does not responsible for complain regarding the video that was contested,

INTERACTIVE TALKSHOW

A. Themes

"The Role of Students in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era"

B. Provisions

1. Fill in the registration form: bit.ly/SEcompetitions

2. Participants is one person from one University

3. Participants who have registered cannot be replaced for any reason

4. The committee has the right to disqualify participants who submit works that do not meet
the rules considered to contain elements of racis, religion, or violate moral norms.

C. Implementation Technical

1. The registration period ends on March 30, 2021

2. An interactive talkshow was held in the zoom meeting room on April 01, 2021

3. An interactive talkshow held for 60 minutes guided by a moderator

4. Host will randomly throw questions to participants

5. Given 2 minutes to answer questions

6. Topics to be discussed:

a) Covid development in the countries / regions of each participant

b) Preparation / implementation of vaccination in the country / region of each


participant

c) Community behavior in the country / region in implementing health protocols

d) Online learning at respective institutions during the Covid-19 pandemic


DEBATE COMPETITION

A. Date, Time and Place of Implementation

Day / Date: April 16, 2021

Time: 13.05 WIB-End

Place of Execution: Zoom Room

B. Competition Registration Requirements

1. Fill in the registration form: bit.ly/SEcompetitions

2. Registration for Debate Competition starts from March 30 – April 05, 2021.

3. Participants contain 3 people / group.

4. List the names of group members to the committee.

C. Rules of Contest Participants

1. Participants must standby in the zoom room 15 minutes before the race starts.

2. Participants must wear the uniform / coat according to their respective institutions,
politely and neatly.

3. Participants are required to register again to retrieve participant numbers.

4. Participants consist of 3 people / group.

5. Participants are not allowed to view books or search on search engines during the event.

6. During the competition, participants must behave in a polite, orderly manner, and not do
activities that are detrimental to others.

7. During the debate competition, zoom mic zoom on mute. When a participant becomes a
speaker mic in unmute .

8. All competitions are conducted in English.


9. Each participant must comply with the time given by the committee in presenting their
arguments.

10. Each participant is prohibited from carrying out personal attacks on other participants
during the match and is prohibited from using abusive, indecent and / or offensive
language.

11. Speakers are prohibited from communicating verbally with their teammates while
presenting their arguments.

12. During the competition, participants who are not speakers are allowed to hold
discussions as long as they do not interfere with the debate

13. Violation of the above provisions will result in a point deduction.

14. Participants who do not attend after 3 summons by the committee will be disqualified.

D. General Provisions

1. The Pro Team is the team that agrees to the debate motion and is tasked with
providing arguments to support the motion.

2. The Counter Team is the team that disagrees with the debate motion and is tasked
with providing arguments against the motion.

3. The speaker is one of the participants presenting their argument.

4. Chairperson is one of the Committee in charge of facilitating the debate.

5. The Timekeeper is one of the Committees in charge of overseeing the flow of time in
debates.

6. An interruption is a rebuttal or a question that is given by the opposing team with the
consent of the speaker according to the applicable regulations.

7. The Judge has the authority to give an assessment according to the criteria set in this
competition.

8. Assessment is the result of the Judge's observation of the debate that occurs based on
the criteria set by the Committee, in the form of a score given after the debate has
taken place.

9. Victory point is a score determined by team win / lose, worth 1 for the winning team
and 0 for the losing team.

10. Verbal evaluation is the consideration of the Judge's assessment regarding the
outcome of the debate which is conveyed verbally after the debate is over.
11. Argument formation is the time given to participants before the debate begins to
prepare material and arguments to be debated.

12. One minute is 60 (sixty) seconds.

E. Competition Systematics

The competition consists of 3 (three) rounds of matches, namely:

1. Preliminary Round

2. Semi-finals.

3. Grand Final.

F. Technical Conditions

1. In each match there will be 2 (two) teams that will be divided into pro and contra
teams. With the pro who support the motion (statement), as well as the contra who
reject the motion (statement).

2. The matches in each round will be judged by the judges.

3. Time keeper (committee) will count the debate matches.

4. The themes to be debated include: COVID-19, Student Demonstrations,


Technological Advancement, Student Organizations

5. The determination of the pro and contra teams is done by drawing. The winner has
the right to choose a motion (statement) that will be debated.

6. The pro and contra teams each have three speakers.

7. The three speakers consist of:

Pro Team Kontra Team

Speaker I: Open debates, define Speaker I: Responding to

3. Compilation of arguments (case building) is allowed using the room chat group.

4. When compiling arguments (case building) the match is not allowed to search on search
engines.

5. The length of time speaker has in delivering arguments is as follows:

a. In the Submission of Initial Arguments round, the first speaker is given 3 (three)
minutes, with a tolerance of 20 (twenty) seconds, with the following conditions:

- In the first minute, the time keeper will code.


- At minute three, the time keeper will provide a code indicating that the time
for presenting the argument has ended.

- At three minutes past 20 (twenty) seconds, chair person will stops


delivering the speaker's argument.

- In the (offer) round, the second and third speakers are given 6 (six)
minutes, with a tolerance of 20 (twenty) seconds, with the following
conditions:

- In the first minute, the time keeper will provide a code indicating that the
interrupt has been carried out.

- At five minutes, the time keeper will provide a code to indicate that the
interrupt is not possible.

- At six minutes past 20 (twenty) seconds, the chair person will stop
delivering the speaker's argument.

- In the Conclusion round, the closing or conclusion speaker is given 3


(three) minutes, with the following conditions:

- In the first and second minutes, the time keeper will give a code to indicate
the time that has been used.

- At the third minute, the time keeper will generate a code to indicate that the
time for presenting the argument has been completed.

- In the third minute past 20 (twenty) seconds, the chair person will stops the
delivery of the speaker's argument.

H. Final Round

1. Participants are given 7 (seven) minutes to carry out the compilation of arguments
(case building) after it is stated that it has started by the committee.

2. Only participants should only formulate arguments.

3. Compilation of arguments (case building) is allowed using the room chat group.

4. When compiling arguments (case building) and when the match is not allowed to
search on search engines

a time tolerance of 20 (twenty) seconds, with the following conditions:

- In the first minute, the time keeper will provide a code to indicate that the
interrupt has been carried out.

- On the sixth minute, the time keeper will provide a code to indicate that
the interruption is not possible.

- In the sixth minute after 20 (twenty) seconds, the chair person will stop
delivering the speaker's argument.

c. In the Conclusion round, the closing or conclusion speaker is given 3 (three)


minutes, with the following conditions:

- In the first minute, the time keeper will provide a code to indicate the time
that has been used.

- At the third minute, the time keeper will code to indicate that the time to
expose the argument has ended.

- In the third minute past 20 (twenty) seconds, the chair person will stop
delivering the speaker's argument.

I. Interruptions

1. Interruptions are only permitted in the (offer) round.

2. During the preliminary rounds and semifinals, participants are allowed to deliver
interruptions between the first minute to the sixth minute when the speaker is presenting
his argument.
3. The interruption is carried out by raising the hand in the zoom room.

4. Interruptions are only allowed if they are accepted by the interrupted speaker.

5. The maximum time for sending interruptions is 30 (thirty) seconds.

6. Interruptions that exceed the time limit of 30 (thirty) seconds will be stopped by the chair
person.

7. Only the speaker who is presenting his argument can answer the interrupt.

8. Maximum interruptions are received 3 (three) times by each speaker unless the closing
speaker is presenting his argument.

9. During the final round, participants are allowed to deliver interruptions between the first
minute to the seventh minute by each speaker unless the closing speaker is presenting
his argument.

J. Assessment

1. Matter, the arguments brought by each speaker.

2. Manner, the speaker's behavior during the debate. Consisting of politeness, good
manners.

3. Method, a way of conveying arguments made by each speaker.

4. Timer, the time to submit arguments.
