Egypt, thousands of years ago: Pharaoh Seti commands all male Hebrew babies to be drowned.
A desperate mother places her son in a basket and lets the Hebrew God guide him along his way on
the river. The basket is found by the Queen, and Moses is brought up as a brother to the heir of the
throne, Ramses II. Years later, the brothers, who grew up happily and wealthy, are split by Moses'
recognition of his true heritage and the suppressing system his brother is about to inherit, willing to
carry it on. Fleeing from the city in despair, Moses wanders far into the desert not knowing what to
do. His fate led him to a small village in where he found his love of life and finally accepts his true
identity then Moses finds himself being called by God. He is given the task of being the messenger in
order to free the Hebrews and to lead them into the land of milk and honey. God said ‘’take this staff
and you will do my wonders’’ Moses returns to Tzipporah and excitedly tells her of what transpired in
the cave, and what he has been asked to do. Moses finds Rameses has become the new Pharoah,
married with a son of his own. Rameses is saddened, then angered, that Moses came back for the
Hebrews and not for him. He declares that he does not acknowledge his brother's God, and refuses
to allow the Hebrews to leave. Moses places his staff in the water, turning the Nile to blood. Locusts
destroy crops, the Egyptians come down with terrible sores on their skin, and fire rains down from
the sky. Soon after, the land is covered in darkness and Moses goes to see his brother once again to
convince him to let the Hebrews go. Rameses was still stubborn and once again rejected moses.
Moses warned him that something more terrible is going to happen. In the night, the angel of death
comes, and passes over the protected doors. In the homes where there is no protective sign, the
angel takes the lives of the firstborn children, including Rameses' son. He has at last given permission
to take the slaves. But Rameses has gathered his army of chariots to kill the slaves out of revenge,
there appears to be no place for them to run. Moses with his staff, parts the waters. Moses is able to
get everyone across just as the water descends, drowning Rameses army. As the Hebrews continue
on their way, Tzipporah declares to Moses that they are free, thus reminding him that he
accomplished the seemingly impossible task that God had given him.

MOVIE REVIEW
My review and personal opinion about the movie prince of Egypt is that I was very interested to
watch a movie that has a purpose of like this. In our church I have always listened through our
preacher from the bible, but this animated movie has given me an all new different perspective on
what it was like and the image of it. This purpose is what God wants to send us all. Unlike many
animated movies which is made for entertainment this movie is not. Yes it is animated but it holds
seriousness in which I liked the most. I very much understood the whole movie because it was not
complicated to watch. The exposition or the beginning of the movie was already too much to handle
for can you imagine a world of a king that commands all first born males to be killed it was the
beginning of knowing the main character which was Moses. Potentially the story led of him being a
part of the royal family. Followed by the rising action of Moses founding out his true identity that he
was among Hebrews, which in my opinion still happens a lot in our generation. It only means that
everything what has happened in the story of Moses can be still happening now. The real conflict was
how to save the Hebrews from the prison of the new pharaoh Rameses which Moses had known as
his brother. God came to Moses to tell him about his mission and the purpose of his life.
Nowadays, many of us seek for our purpose in life through God. We will then eventually have the
biggest struggle in our life but this serves if you are truly a believer of God and purpose will be
brought upon you through his will. Until Rameses was too hard headed and wanted a goal of himself
being a greater king than his father was. It was greed, selfishness and pride that has decided for god
to punish him even taking his child away. Also in the bible this film also included the Wonders of
God.Eventually the falling action was when Rameses finally let the Herbews free but still wanted
revenge, he followed the Hebrews and then God made the parting of the sea happen to let them
escape. In my opinion it means that in whatever struggle and hardness in life we confront there will
