Lesson: Setting Up Rules-Based Availability Check in Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP)

Use allowed early confirmation to permit early delivery (confirmation) of an order for the
ATP check. If you set this indicator, you must also specify how early the delivery can be
made—that is, you specify the number of days allowed by this calculation profile.

Caution:
At present, Sales and Distribution (SD) in the SAP ERP system is not able
to handle early confirmations. Therefore, do not maintain this value.

Backward consumption limit

Use backward consumption limit to specify a time horizon which prevents stock or early
receipts from being consumed by orders lying in the far future.

Note:
These options behave similarly to the validity periods of substitutions. If
both periods are specified, then they are evaluated together.

If the Valid indicator is set, then the value is maintained. It is necessary that you maintain this
in order to distinguish between the following:
● An input value of 0: this value means that there cannot be a deviation from the request

● Some unspecified value: internal to the system, this value is treated like 0. However, in this
case, it is treated as irrelevant.

If you enter a figure for the periods, then the system sets this indicator automatically.

Partial Deliveries

Figure 80: Calculation Profile (2)

The number of partial deliveries restricts the delivery proposals generated for each check.
If the number of possible schedule lines exceeds the allowed number, then, so long as it is
allowed by the check methods in use, all further confirmations are added to the latest possible
