Tych Brahe studied astronomy in the island of hveen.

Ang isa sa pinaka goal nya is to discover a new

model of the universe because according to some sources he did not believe in geocentric nor
heliocentric model. Unfortunately, even if he is well known for his accurate measurements and
observations, his model is wrong.

When he made a meticulous observation of the path of the planets, he come up with his own model in
the year of 1583 which is the Tychonic Model.

It is combined model of geocentric and heliocentric or in some term it is called geoheliocentrism

because ang idea ng geocentric model na ginawa ni Copernicus at ang model ng geocentrism na
prinopose ni Ptolomy ay maoobserve sa model na ito. In other sources, they say that it’s more
geocentrism than heliocentrism since sa model na to makikita na ang earth ay center at nakastay lang o
hindi gumagalaw.

So this is Brahe’s model. Eto yung Earth eto naman ang sun and this are the other planets such as
mercury venus mars Jupiter and Saturn. This is celestial sphere and this are the stars.

In this model, The earth stays in it’s place while the sun revolves around it. Yan umiikot ang sun sa earth
which is an adea proposed by Ptolomy geocentric model. While the other planets, revolves around the
Sun in circular orbits. Yan naman, umiikot yung planets sa sun which makes the the Copernicus idea
belong in this system.

In this model, as the sun revolves around the earth, the planets that orbiting the sun is not only circular
in motion but epicycle. In ptolomys proposed model makikita na ang pagrevolve ng mga planet around
earth is in epicycle or yung maliliit na pagikot ng mga planets while orbiting the earth . In brahe’s model,
makikita rin ang epicycle.
