Have/get something done (have/get + object + V3)

I always have my car cleaned.


Susan has just had the rooms redecorated.
They never had the roof of their house repaired.
I will get my garage door fixed.
She has to have/get her shoes mended.

Make

1. A: He will put on his gloves, I hope.


B: I can’t make him put on his gloves!
You must make him do it.

Examples:
clean his bath, write to the Smiths, clean his shoes, change his socks, shave off his
beard, roll up the carpet, throw away his old boots, put away his tools, keep on his coats.
