BUILDING CONFORMS TO HEIGHT AND AREA LIMITS OF MIXED USE/SEPARATED REQUIREMENTS (Yes or No): (Y/N)
Note: the sum of the ratios of the floor area of each use divided by the allowable area for each use shall not exceed 1 (100% of the allowable ratio).
Note: Separated uses must have fire separation ratings as shown in Table 302.3.3.

Step 1 Determine the Construction Type. Enter it into table 1.

Step 2 Determine Use Groups applicable to this project and lsit their Base Allowable Areas in Table 1.
Step 3 List the tenants and their respective Use Groups in Table 2. Also enter their actual Square Footages.
Step 4 List Base Allowable Areas for each Use Group in Table 2.
Step 5 Determine the Frontage Increase and the Conversion Factor. Enter them into Table 1.
Step 6 Determine the Sprinkler Increase and the Conversion Factor. Enter them into Table 1.
Step 7 Add the % Total Area Increase and the Total Conversion Factor in Table 1.
Step 8 Enter the Total Conversion Factor from Table 1 into the Conversion Factor column of cells in Table 2.
Step 9 Check the TOTAL Percentage of Allowable Area - it must be less than 1.00 to pass.
Step 10 If the building passes - congratulations! Print the table out or save it for inclusion with your plan submission.
If the building fails - double check your numbers and consider a different strategy.

Note: Some cells on this spread sheet are protected. To add or delete rows or modify these cells, you must first go to Tools/Protection and "unprotect" this sheet.
