Register of Health & Safety Legislation

Introduction:

This Register of Health & Safety Legislation has been developed as a guide to UK Health & Safety legislation that is deemed
applicable to the operations of UK - Construction. Also as a guide for KSA construction best practice

Instructions on using the Register:

Each piece of legislation is summarised, along with a brief description of the main compliance requirements. If the compliance
requirements cannot be summarised you will be directed to the full description of the Regulation.

A rating (describing the applicability and nature of the requirements) applies to each piece of legislation; these ratings are explained
below.

Management responsibility is then assigned by Bouygues UK, where applicable, along with any specific management actions
necessitated by the requirements. For instance operational control references. Examples are provided, but this section must be
updated by Bouygues UK.

The ‘Location of Records’ column signposts any key documentation that will be retained - to be completed by Bouygues UK

The Regulator and any related legislation is also provided, and a detailed summary of the functions of each regulating body is
provided on the tab entitled ‘Enforcement Authorities’.

Legislation is grouped by particular activity, e.g. General Construction and Health etc..
