address Paavo Havaksentie 5 E. Please be prepared to present proper indentification.
Place of photography delivers if necessary the ID photo by email both to the IT Administration of the University of Oulu
(among other things for the internal telephone directory) and to PunaMusta - University Press for the ID card.
The identification information of the photo is the email address of the ID card recipient.

Persons who are required to have an ID card:

• permanent staff members and persons who have a fixed-term employment contract of 6 months or more with the
University.
• researchers who work at the University’s premises for a period of at least 6 months but receive their
payment/funding from sources outside of the University (e.g. the Academy of Finland, grants from different funds, or
they are researchers working on projects funded by outside industries/companies etc.) for whom an ID card is
deemed necessary (i.e. they are forced to work at the University outside of office hours and they do not have a valid
basic degree student or postgraduate student ID card).
Persons who do not need an ID card:
• persons hired with employment subsidies (unless they must work at the University outside of office hours)
• part-time teachers and those docents who have no other employment relationship with the University
• students undertaking a basic degree (Lic.Med., M.Ed., M.Sc., M.A. etc.) and those researchers who work in the
premises of the University and have a valid student ID card (but who receive their funding from outside of the
