Treatment

The short film is a modern drama focusing on a teenage male with a developing eating disorders and
implied other mental health issues. The film follows the teen as his mental health declines, and he is
driven to engaging in bulimic behaviors.

Characters:

 Unnamed teenage male – A timid previously bullied young man with declining mental health
 Unnamed parents – Oblivious to their son’s mental state

The short film opens with the teenager in his gym-like room. He’s sitting at his desk, reading old
messages on his computer. This is where it is revealed the teen used to be bullied for his weight. It cuts
to black showing the title screen saying Unattainable.

The next scene opens with the teen and his parents sat eating at the dinner table. Both parents are
shown typing away on laptops, as the teen barely consumes any food, just scraping at his plate. The teen
then gets up with his plate, leaving the table unnoticed by his parents.

After an implied passing of time the next scene begins with the teen exercising in his room. Suddenly he
begins to lose his balance as he faints. The teen regains consciousness as he stands up and looks in the
mirror. A sad look covers his face as the scene ends.

The final scene begins with the teen standing over the toilet. His face changes from a worried to a calm
expression as he accepts what he’s about. He kneels down and brings his fingers to his mouth as the
camera pans and fades to black.
