Teaching is a profession unlike any other. It is an ever evolving field that requires
continuous, constant learning for anyone who wishes to be a successful educator. Over the next
five years, I will be beginning my journey as an educator and there are several goals that I have
constructed for myself that will ensure my development and overall effectiveness as an educator.
The following is the list of goals that I have set out for myself for the next five years, along with
a rationale as to why these goals are important and necessary to my professional development.
1. Obtain a teaching position at a school that shares similar values and ideals of education
