Give evidence for the scores.

Miss Smith started out her lesson with a review of quadrilaterals. She used a jamboard to sort shapes into
quadrilateral versus not a quadrilateral. Students then reviewed names of specific quadrilaterals using a
presentation from the math series. They discussed attributes of shapes.

Good idea getting the students settled by having them breathe and get the wiggles out. I like that you told the
students that now it was time for you to talk and they needed to focus on math.

Have the students practice saying quadrilateral. Also, point out the word on the jamboard. Talk about how when
you hear “quad” it means four of something.

Angles- corners.

I like the movements that you added to parallel and perpendicular. The sticking point for students was the
vocabulary in the lesson not necessarily math concepts.
