Why should we stay home?

Staying at home is one of the most effective measures to stop the spread of the
virus that causes the disease known as Covid-19, in addition to frequent hand
washing and maintaining a safety distance of one and a half meters between
people.

We are living in an exceptional period that requires great collaboration on the part
of everyone. This situation, to reduce the spread and contagion of the coronavirus,
asks us to stay home and avoid unnecessary trips.

How does the confinement affect people?

As the confinement forced people to stay indoors to stop the spread of COVID-19,
social distancing meant changes in daily routines and therefore in people.

 “Uncertainty is one of the biggest challenges people face these days. We

find it very difficult to deal with uncertainty, because it is a feeling of
insecurity ".

 High levels of stress can cause sleep disorders, anxiety, lethargy, anguish
and anger, and before this we must try to encourage ourselves and our
environment.

 "There are people who are negatively affected, as well as those who can
focus on their individual development with an awareness that can produce
positive results."

How does it affect the family and a country's economy?

 It directly affects production, creating disruptions in the supply chain and in the
market, and due to its financial impact on companies and financial markets.
However, much depends on the public's reaction to the disease.
 The effects are being particularly profound in the countries most affected by the
pandemic and in those that depend heavily on international trade, tourism,
commodity exports and external financing.

 The pandemic is not only affecting the pockets of citizens due to the loss of
jobs. The contagion also a high financial cost for the economy of the families
affected with this serious disease.

 The projected decline in per capita income of 3.6% will push millions of people
into extreme poverty this year.

Restriction hours

Regional authorities have established restrictions to avoid the crowding of people

in different establishments in the country, thus preventing the spread of the virus
and contagion of more individuals.

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, decreed the 7 + 7 method a few

months ago and during the pandemic he has implemented it on more than one
occasion in the country. This system consists of two special weeks, that is, one to
make the state of emergency more flexible and another to comply with the radical
quarantine. The goal is to stop the spread of Covid-19.

While most countries have applied a more or less strict but continuous
confinement, in Venezuela an unusual intermittent quarantine has been
established, known as the 7 + 7 system, in which restrictions alternate with the
relaxation of measures.
