have a short walk. A variety of events are also held around Cheong-
gyecheon Stream, of which the Seoul Lantern Festival in November

The area around K-star Road is truly the hub of Hallyu entertain-
ment culture. SM Global Training Center of SM Entertainment is
located behind the GangnamDol of EXO, and at the end of K-star
Road, near the GangnamDol of Block B, is the building of JYP En-
tertainment which is the home of 2PM, GOT7, and TWICE. FNC
Entertainment, whose artists include F.T. Island, CNBLUE, and Yoo
Jae-suk, is only five minutes away on foot from JYP Entertainment,
and many other entertainment companies, such as BH Entertain-
08 ment of Lee Byung-hun and Jin Goo and Artist Company of Jung
Woo-sung and Lee Jung-jae, are in the neighboring areas.

The SMTOWN Theater on the fifth floor is equipped with a 40

City Hall building, Citizens Hall was established for Seoul citi-
zens to have a space to have a voice and share their opinions
with others. Various types of citizen-oriented activities are held

fiercely compete over mission games on a blazing hot day. To
receive different amounts of mission money prepared at each
entrance, they played games of intuition and a race to find staff
members who are all from different hometowns. Once the center
of Seoul’s transportation during the 1970s, the overpass has in-
stalled 18 convenience facilities including a Seoullo information
center and cafe as well as 645 circular flower pots, and offers a
relaxing, 1km-long stroll course, which connects 17 walking paths

Unhyeongung Palace

“I will summon you to the safest place on earth.” The house from
which the Guardian called Euntak whenever she was in danger was
Unhyeongung Yanggwan located in Jongno. The Guardian, the Grim
Reaper and Euntak lived in this house with a grandiose, luxurious
appearance. Unhyeongung Palace was once the private residence
of Heungseon Daewongun and where his son and the 26th king
of Joseon, Gojong, was born and raised. Also referred to as “Yi U
Gongjeo”, Unhyeongung Yanggwan was built by the Japanese for
Daewongun and his grandson in order for them to better monitor and
control the Joseon royal family. A modern building with a European
look, it contains splendid but sad stories. Other than <Guardian: The
Lonely and Great God>, the palace was also the filming location for
TV shows such as <Princess Hours> and <The King 2 Hearts>, and
offers a variety of traditional culture experiences including artifact ex-
hibits, traditional clothing and historical concerts.

fee Bangatgan. As its name literally means “Coffee Mill,” Coffee

scape during the day and at night shows a marvelous, dazzling
nightscape. To the east of Naksan Park is the Seoul City Wall
which was constructed in the Joseon Period in order to protect
the capital area from outside attacks. Among its entire area,
measuring 18.6 km in length, the section going through Naksan

park has a rich assortment of diverse flora such as silver grass,
thistle, violet, and lettuce, providing a beautiful landscape. In

When you walk over Yanghwadaegyo Bridge with Hangang River
below, you can find a gate that leads Seonyudo Park somewhere
