STATEMENT OF THE BACKGROUND

This study aims to present an in depth study on the experiences of the

residents of Ucab, Itogon, Benguet from the small-scale mining.
It sought to answer the following specific questions:
1. What are the small-scale mining activities that directly affects the
community?
2. What are the influences of small-scale mining to the sustainable development
of the community in the following areas:
a. Environmental Dimension
b. Social Dimension
c. Economic Dimension
3. How does the community adapt with the changes brought by the small-scale
mining?
4. What are the community’s developed behavior towards small-scale mining?
